I loved playing this as a kid, of course the friend i played it with owned it so he knew more of how to play then i did and when i asked him what buttons do what he never told me so i ended up being last all the time trying to figure out what they did, i still had fun though lol.

@jdgb111 It takes an incredible amount of skill to be able to pull off all these glitches. Stop calling it cheating, it's not, it's utilizing everything in the game in oorder to get the fastest times. Tool assisted does not mean using cheat codes and hacks, it means using save states and slowdowns on an emulator.

Those quick laps that he is making is due to bad coding. This is what happens when you don't QC your game. There are to many points on the some of these tracks that count as you having gone all the way around once you touch them when you really haven't.

It is ridiculous to claim that tool assistance was not used. Every box you got was the one that u needed to perform a shortcut or glitch. Seems a little strance to me as you rarely get mushrooms when you are in first!

Mario Kart has a feature/bug called "mini-boosts" which I used to go over the dirt without slowing down. The item you get from the item-blocks depends on what frame you hit them. I wrote a bot to test-out hitting them every possible frame. The list of input button-press timings I made are available online and have been verified. I didn't even make this playback of them myself.

offcourse the graphics are great,but the only annoying thing is the fact that the playfield screen is only a part of the screensize duo the landscape screen wich micht be for the most part useless,alltrough it maybe very innovative for it,s time, but it would be more common for the nds.

eventrough sounds are fantastic once using a dolbysurround set!!!!!!!!

this game looks despites it,s improved mode 7 including the menu,s and sprites so simplistic.

donkeykong looks more like a baby with a underneat and everything,s not to interactive,also the sounds are very polyphonice and everthings runs a bit slow in 50hz,note: i hate that splitting screen for wich you see bellow contstandly that unusual landscape wich is inimportmant and annoying.

ohhh ur so ur gana say the game looks like crappy graphics? well who cares? its provided me (an expert at the game) with hours n hours of endless fun entertainment that i cud NEVER get from todays "amazing graphics" shitty-fun-factor games on XBOX 360, or PS3. What a joke. Graphics=ruined video games for ever more, except for maybe on a computer. seriously.. id rather play a hacked version of mario brother 3 thats home made then EVER play ANY 'good graphic' xbox game that has NO FUN factor toit!
