  • Hi Id really appreciate your help with this.. How do I attach the mount to the ceiling? What screws/bolts do I use and how does it stay on the ceiling? Thank you

  • @Dr4kulya The needed screws come in the package. Please notice that I have only tested this mount on a concrete slab, not a "drywall" type ceiling.

  • Thanks! Great help!

  • one question, would happens if when you drill the holes in the projector, what happens if it ruins the projector? and where can I buy this kit? any ways, Great video very helpful and easy to comprehend! Usually when i looked this up before they gave a 30 minute video that bored the hell out of me! But this one is great!- James

  • @dananjames Never drill holes in a projector. The projector should come with holes for mounting. I bought this from Monoprice (Google it)

  • can i use a tape to hold the cables if I don't have a friend?

  • This monoprice mount is not adjustable. Their website says it is and this video, around 2:48 shows some movement after mounted. But they've changed the design (10/2010) and it's rigid. It rotates but no tilt or roll. Small adjustment are always needed so this is not good. Also missing 3mm screws for optoma (HD20). I ordered $40 at mountdirect site with good instrucions and 3mm bolts.

  • where do you find the screws to fit the mount to the projector. went to home depot and had no luck.

  • I've often found such things in small neighborhood hardware stores.

  • where did you get the strip that hides the wires on ceiling? how much is it?

  • I bought it locally in the same place where I buy Cat5 cable (for home networks). It's dirt cheap, but can't remember how much.

  • Is this projector support universal? I have an Optoma and I want buy one of this

  • Yes, it is universal.

  • at the end you are moving the projector after it is mounted. How much play do you have to angle the projector down?

  • Very little. The manufacturer says it's 15º in any direction, but it seems more like 10º.

Anyway, you should never install your projector with any more tilt, as you would have to use digital keystone correction, degrading the image. If you really need to project from an odd angle, I would recommend finding a projector with lens shift.

  • @Arqui3D

how did you tilt the projector mount, i can´t seem to do it, i bought iñt throw ebay and i diden´t come with instructions.

  • ive tried a similar bracket, but i dont like the teflon washer setup underneath it.

  • this mount worked perfectly with my infocus 4805 projector. Thanks MonoPrice
