  • Rajabov is awesome...All Azerbaijan ppl are proud of you, son!

  • What you're seeing here are two of the finest chess players in the world.

Radjabov still young and fresh, by his 30s most likely may become the world champion. In a few years, Magnus Carlsen will most likely challenge the world champion as well, and has plenty of time to accomplish this goal.

Both players are geniuses. At that level, you cannot compare these high ranking GMs and assume one is better than the other.

  • carlsen is ranked no.1 tho so who is worldchampion if not him?

  • @ipoundpoon anand is the world champion, ranks are based on fide ratings and carlsen has the highest rating

  • I like your proof of concept through tautology!

  • one thing that is bugging me is that

if you are not a grandmaster at an early age, do you still have potential to be one or even high level grandmaster?

  • I have taught chess 34 years ...and beaten many GM's .Magnus's approach to chess is unique in history. His mentality will make winning the crown of chess in the future almost an after-thought.His sportsmanship in the game is unparalled.

  • I've only heard of Magnus since this last August, and I kept hearing people compare him to Fischer. But when I went over his games on an online database, I saw that you just can't compare the two; Fischer was Fischer, while Carlsen is Carlsen.

  • @spiritgifted And how in the world do you know his "approach"? If you mean his mannerisms then yes but his chess training I'm afraid not much is known about that so I don't think you can make such a comment.

  • I didn't know Magnus played the Queen's Indian Defence.

  • I've gone through hundreds of his games, and Magnus Carlsen can play any and all of the openings. I don't think he has afavourite opening, but in certain ones he has favourite lines of play.

  • Gotta love the QID

  • The funny thing is, spongebob, that these guys have more brains in their pinkie fingers, than you've got in your entire body.

  • Magnus is now number 5 in the world, radjabov somewhere around top-10, so they cannot be bad hehe.

  • lol, diving...

  • Get fat? Lol show me any fat top player except Nakamura (who is actually not as fat now as he was some 5 years ago). And also, who of the top chess players looks geeky? NONE.

  • hehehe, i`m starting to like this discussion

  • How about Pinochle ("Searching for Bobby Fischer" movie reference; if you haven't seen it you won't get it)?

  • aah, but anatomically the brains are not situated in the little finger...BURN!!!

    jk i understand your metaphor...

  • These two are the future world chess champions!

  • he already is world champion

  • Oh oops, I messed it up sorry, thanks for corrections

  • wtf??? you are soooo stupid

what if you all superbrains started whit somthing important like a teacher

  • being a teacher is more important than playing chess?? lol. with such shitty pay why would ANYONE want to be a teacher??

  • Teaching chess would be what somebody would want and love to do, not necessarily for the pay.
