  • I have one for sale, if some is interested, PM me!

  • I got mine off craigs list for $50.00 I have the same 1977 version big muff too.My switch was bad so i replaced it and made it true bypass.I am playing througha Marshall 1987 head and 1960 ax cab. I have sold all my other pedals and kept this big muff and boss delay. The pedal is incredible!!. i sold ocd version 1, vintage ts808, fulldrive, dod 250, mxr, ect.. and kept the big muff it is a beast!!!!

  • @jbmannon please just rub it freaking in...

  • @jbmannon please just rub it freaking in... i'd do anything to get this one back.

  • @MrJohnnydel just build one

  • @seicheberlin i don't really trust myself in that area. i'd rather just buy another one on eBay. Nothing beats the original article.. not in every case.. but still..

  • Was the ibanez pedal at the end used with the muff for this demo?

  • @PatrickJarvis no. this demo is only the muff. i have a demo of only the fl9 in another video.

  • Hey I've got one too. 1977 78 op amp but I found mine in my garage back in 1980. The former tenant left it behind. I played it a couple times but left it in the box for 20 years until Smashing Pumpkins made it sound good. Funny! I hated this pedal for 20 years and then Billy Corgan blows my mind with it with the most beautiful sounds ever. I stand very humbled by Billy.

  • @1971SuperLead any idea which circuitboard numner you have? also... is it a v4 or v5? v4 would have the on off switch at the top instead of a tone bypass.

  • @MrJohnnydel It has a little black sliding switch near the output jack and AC input. The switch turns the unit on and off.

  • @1971SuperLead great. that's exactly what this one is. v4.

  • @MrJohnnydel Try using two in a row or put a compressor upstream of it.

I find that two Boss Heavy Metal pedals in a row can also rock.

  • id love to hear this through a real amp

  • @andrewface i never got a chance to record the big muff through my tsl 100. it sounded unreal at high volume. havent listened to this video in a while... i'm sick to my stomach that i sold it.

  • damn that sounds good

  • how much did you pay for it?

  • @useless987 $150 i think. then i sold it for $170. i wish i never sold the thing. probably grab another one sometime soon.

  • @MrJohnnydel

that was a good deal.. in Italy you find it used for about 160-180 euros...

a little pricey. I'd be dead curious to compare the op-amp V4 or V5 one with my 2004 big muff!

  • @useless987 not to sound snooty... but... the reissues are no comparison. the originals however... are worth every penny.

  • DUDE JD!!! I cant believe this dude!!! The V4 muff is soo sick!!! I will no doubt trade my big muff for that one......jeez i cant believe you have the "pumpkins" big muff lol
