it is much smaller, some of the employees have left, and they dropped the dnf project but 3d realms is still alive and gearbox has picked up the dnf project so we still might get dnf and we still might get more 3d realms stuff from apogee.

Yes it is, gearbox is helping to finish the game. :) when 3drealms shut down a few of the employees started a new company called triptych to finish the game.. now gearbox is helping them.. there was already a playable demo at PAX.. it's coming early next year.

@Mapplefreeway It's a game development company that was working on the infamous duke nukem forever for 13 years, but then got shut down because of money problems and then the got sued by take2, and then they countersued but the the case has been dropped.. so no-one know the future of Duke Nukem Forever right now.

There is a new renderer for eduke32, with a vid of proof on youtube, showing duke 3d with normal maps and the whole nine yards.

Look up polymer renderer for eduke3d (the windows port). The vid is dark due to the sector lighting being turned off to show the normal maps slightly better.
