@mynamesnick1 hi there, our 3.5 g router requires a power adapter to work (input: 100 - 240 v, 0.3A, 50 - 60 Hz, output: 5v, 1.44A, 7.2 w max), a typical car's cigarette lighter receptacle is 12 volts so I would not recommend using this in your car...
if you need to have wireless networking on the road, I would suggest a 'mifi' with a built in battery
regarding the cops, i think their laptops either have an internal 3g modem or they use a external USB 3g modem
wait wait wait can you put this in the car and get wireless networking on the road, and is this what cops use so they can get into the database
