There are nine minutes (a reviewer's reel) available to watch at the NYPL branch at Lincoln Center. However, you have to have a valid reason to watch it, such as being a student or actor, etc. I went and saw it yesterday - there's the scene between Alan and Lindsay, a short scene between Alan and Tourvel, and a scene where Alan is writing a letter to Tourvel using a harlot as a desk - very hot!
I did'nt see unfortunatetlty the film, neither listen before the Sait-Saens concerto by DongSuk Kang;I am lucky,I will work with him next July at the Musicalp Festival!
I was lucky enough to see this production on stage and I've never forgotten it. Both leads were perfect! I knew then that Alan Rickman would be a star!
That is such a shame...I would've given an arm and a leg to watch this with Alan Rickman as Vicomte Valmont....wow. I would've loved to see Alan on stage trying to seduce Cecile...
Oh yes, I read that too! It was an interview done by a fellow cast member who said that she and a lot of the other female cast was supposedly in love with him, and Alan said that his "job was to seduce the audience" or something. None the les...*sigh*
No, I'm afraid there isn't, which I agree absolutely sucks. There was an article with an interview like that-ummm...it was on this random site...I was just surfing through the net see. I'll try to find it, and if I do, I'll send you the url!!
This is so brilliant. I love it and only wish that I could have seen the entire play. Alas, I'm left with only the recorded clips!
One question: Where did you find the pictures for the slide? I'm making a desktop background with Liaisons as its theme and I have several pictures, but really need more.
Music: Violin Concerto No. 3 in B Minor, Op. 61: I. Allegro Non Troppo, from Saint-Saëns: Violin Concerto No. 3 - Caprice Andalous, performed by Dong-Suk Kang & Polish National Radio Symphony Orchestra
dunno why didn't they pick Alan for the film version...Mr Rickman is phenomenal!

This was a totally brilliant production. My first exposure to the leads, of whom I have been an eager fan ever since.
