@turquoisebloom haha...yes, it seems like that would be true, but toddlers/babies and 12 year olds have very different bodily proportions. Doesn't quite work like that. :)
I learned knitting form my mom...I am expecting a baby this December..But but my mom is not in country to help me out.. your videos are outstanding and helped me revisit evthing I ever learned :)
first ur the best teacher ever!! i bought the pattern and made a sweater for my 1yr old cousin, going with the instructions from the pattern. Now my 4 year old cousin wants one but i have no idea on how to go about that. Could i multiply the pattern by 3??? would that work??Please help!!
@vmendoz3 Couple things you could do here...if you have the 4 year old around, you can just keep increasing the raglan until it comfortably fits under his arms, then separate for the sleeves. (I'm only giving you this advice since you've already knit the sweater and know the techniques.) Otherwise, I encourage you to find a different sweater pattern in the size you need. You now have the skills you need to do it! :)
@hotdog1997 Ha...that's funny, I suppose you're right that I'm always saying "top-down". I do have patterns that knit using other methods, but top-down is a great way for knitters, especially new knitters, to knit something perfect and build their confidence to move on to other things. I suppose it is also my favorite way of knitting sweaters. :)
