  • che, y para qué es la lucesita roja esa que tiene ahi?

  • This has F^&#@ing inspired me!!!

  • aweome I bented this one as well, I'll have to post it eventually too 8)

  • Ooh, that's amazing. Nothing like my first trembling steps towards bending. Is there a built in reverb, or is that added afterwards?

  • this is asking to be sampled

  • This is absolutely beautiful. Music to my ears.

  • This thing is AWESOME! I've always wanted to make something like this... take a sampled kids toy and mess with it. The granularity and sliced, chopped loops is what gives it appeal to me. I can imagine how awesome this would sound when fed through a Boss RE-20 space echo.

I'd love to know the 'extra' schematics to this... so many more features than what you have already shared.

  • ok now this is a good shit

  • Nice construction! Love that box!

  • gotta b the drippiest bend i've seen yet!

    absolutely ooooooooozing!

    thnx 4 linking 2 th schmtcs =0)

    i'm on a mission 4 a toy phone now!

  • OMG>>>> that hand model SO needs a manicure...

  • OMG>>>> what kind of dumb comment is that?

  • Obviously it's the dumb kind. Pay attention next time!

  • what for a musical destruction. But I love this Sound!

  • what a cool bend!

  • I had one of those phones and killed it within 2 minutes of opening it up.

  • yeah, ive had mine for ages and ive been afraid to mess with it.

  • how do u the adjust?

  • fake?

    you're joking aren't you?

  • he must be.

  • Do that twice.. haha, no. Awesome!!! How many times have you accidentally made something secretly drain the batteries when not in use?

  • Hi, 1st off i would like to say I'm very impressed on how well you knew how to operate this bend. I see some people that are learning while shooting the vid. I just want to know one thing... how the hell did you learn how to do this. is there a book or something?

  • Thanks, I always spend a bit of time playing with my instruments before I document them.

I learnt circuit bending from a bit of web research, there's a good beginers guide on Reed Ghazala's web site at anti-theory(dot)com/soundart

check out his book also, Circuit-Bending: Build Your Own Alien Instruments, ISBN: 0-7645-8887-7. I haven't read it but I hear it's very good.

  • Hi two questions;

Firstly where did you get the 8 pin toggle switch from i cant seem to find one anywhere.

Seccondly where did you mount the reset button?

Keep up the good work your stuff is realy great>>>>>>

  • I get all my components from rapidonline(dot)com, good quality, fast delivery and cheap. Are you working from my schematic? I assume you mean the mode/off switch, DPDT toggle (6 pins), Rapid order code: 75-0088. Doesn't need a reset button as it never crashes.

  • that's not strictly true about crashing, if the pitch is calibrated (with the 2 trim pots) to go too high it will crash, so you need to adjust it to stay in range. On the rare occassion that it crashes simply turning off and on again will reset.

  • Hey, thanks man I'll look into the site and book.

  • This is insane !

    Has this been sold ?!

  • it's not for sale

  • Ah right,

you should make some to sell,

Theres a massive market for stuff like this !

  • diy

  • That is amazing...your bends are GREAT!...I did a USA version of this phone...But This one is WAY more involved!...This inspires me to do another.

  • schematics pdf has error. could you re-upload? This is great.

  • I've got "vtech tiny touch phone" which has ten number buttons and '#' and '*' buttons and I haven't seen one quite like this anywhere else - I'll crack it open at some point and see if it is basically the same.

  • amazing work! do you sell these? or do custom work?

  • Genius. I'm sad I threw out my kids e-toys.

  • mad props

  • Bravo! That is by far one of the coolest bent things I've ever seen! Beautiful presentation too!

  • rad!

  • Looks and sounds great

  • OH my lord.

  • your instruments are so beautifully crafted and they sound amazing. i noticed the link to the schematic is dead. could you repost? thx

  • Thanks, pdf reposted, check new link

  • Wow. I was just about to put mine back together, but it sounds like I should go and look for more bends...!

  • Et hop une machine pour faire du breakcore :p

  • Very, very cool! Congratulations.

    Greetings from Brazil.

  • Really nice demo of circuit bending. Good craftsmanship and a very handy demo of performance gestures. Lots of variation. The gestures could be translated to sensors for those without digital(fingers) control. How about a meta switch that knows what to do? Lots of good humor in the sounds.

  • i love this thing but i dont really understand of what it is made

  • awesome sounds!

and I really dig the case design

  • amazing

  • Fantastic craftmanship! Good job!

  • Very nice machine all around mate.

  • This is without a doubt one of the most impressive custom Circuit bends I've seen as of yet. I love it! Good work.

    Keep it Anti-Theory!

  • exceptional aural perception engagement, exuding considered sophisticated charm without hazardous contentment danger
