  • omg omg omg Mr. Bundles is the voice of Puumba on the Lion King!!

  • Kathy Bates is GOLD.

  • 1982 version- "Hard Knock-Life" takes place all over the orphange, flips are included, looks as if hours could of passed

1999 version- takes place one room, very boring, looks as if five minutes went by, when hours were supposed too!

Conclusion- 1982 version was WAY better

  • i like "the hard-knock life" song as the original than this one because the girls do flips and what not.

  • So an orphanage doesn't really abuse kids like this do they?

  • @Thesupreme96 Maybe some used to, but in the USA now they are a thing of the past. Other countries still have them.

  • @Thesupreme96 i wouldn't say that they're being abused. because their not being beaten.

  • I LOVE THE ORIGINAL but aileen quinn irritates the hell out of me as an adult

  • All I can think of is Misery...

  • Original ROCKS!!!

  • Kathy Bates (Miss Hannigan) is also in Titanic.

  • God I love this song!

  • @sabrinabryanfan62891 i love them both

  • i love this movie! :D

  • it was night then morning i about 1 min xx

  • Thomas Andrews Titanic: Victor Garber!

  • Are you an orphan

  • miss Hanigan is nicer in this version

  • Poor girls, never seen Santa Claus. neither have I. I know how you feel :(

  • "I LOVE YOU, MISS HANNIGAN!" LOL! I love that line...

  • its changed the story!!!! i dont like this onee!!!

  • ms hanningan was right about one thing, it is bad there but it very lousy outside.

  • is there any books of annie

  • this is awsome

  • who likes annie here

  • I love this version

  • I feel like they are screaming the lyrics instead of singing. I mean I know they have to be mad and stuff but they don't need to scream them at least sing....it is a musical

  • I like this version because annie looks like a normal girl. A lot of times they make the actress get what looks like a really bad permanent in a crop cut.

  • The Unsinkable Molly Brown from Titanic=Kathy Bates!

  • Kathy Bates is absolutely fantastic!

  • New version is WAYY better

  • rooster is floop on spy kids!

  • I appreciate this version because it's closer to the original stage production. Also Alicia Morton has a gorgeous voice.

  • It's Pumbaaa.

  • you'd think a remake would be better and more moddern.. the music peice was shit :P they were all in the same rooom in the original it was more fun and dynamic

  • A re make woth willow smith:0

  • im so used to the 1982 version...the song in that one was all over the building, it felt weird seeing it in one room....

  • Sarah hyland is so cute in this!

  • I still think the older one was better, but this one is still great!!! It's like

    55:45 (1982:1999)

  • Lol I played Ms. Hannigan in this

  • I probably like this one more than the original because I grew up watching it

  • The light dimmed when miss hanegan left

  • its a hard knock life was better in the 1982, but thats ones good to

  • I may be in the minority but I prefer this version over the original. Probably because its the one I grew up on.

  • @Porkchopzngravy So, I grew up 1997 and I would pay 1 million bucks to watch the other instead.

  • @Porkchopzngravy I don't know, I prefer this over the '82 and that one was the one I knew of until I looked around for anything that had Alan Cumming in it. XD <3

  • @Porkchopzngravy This is also the exact script from the stage show.

  • i always thought Annie had curly hair like she had in 82 version and some of the stage shows and my Annie doll has short curly hair

  • No one beats Carol Burnett...not even Kathy 'Muthafuckin' Awesome' Bates.

  • @hiya921 - why don't you just buy the movie?

  • @TheBelley2300 i have no idea where to. do you? does anyone know where i can buy it?(year:2011)

  • @hiya921 maybe try the amazon website :) or target.

  • thanks so much for uploading!!!!!!!!! i've been looking for this everywhere!!!!!!!!

  • I like this version, but i prefer the choreography in the original :/

  • I can't wait for the re-remake with willow smith. But for now this is inspiration for my play. ^.^

  • Im doing the play ffor ANNIE and I'm annie

  • "Your days are numbered"

    LMAO

  • Isn't miss hannigan supposed to hit on bundles? O:

  • hahaha!!!!!! but its in the middle of the night

  • Alicia Morton is a very good singer and very mature for her age

  • Anyone tell Lalaine from Lizzie is in this? ;)

  • @LittleMak1 dude thts the only reason i wanted to watch it the first time i saw this..and of course she's the best singer outta all of them...lol

  • The choreography is better in the original.

  • boooo...

    old one was better

  • This one is interesting I guess and I like her hair better but the other one is still tops. I was just curious.

  • Ok I know it's still only the beginning but is it really so bad? The orphanage I mean... Yes I know they are treated poorly for kids but it could be so much worse. Just makes them seem whiny to me...

  • I like this Annie's hair waay better. The poof was always kind of a turn-off for me.

  • This song is alwaysssss stuck in my head!

  • It's soooo cool cuz were having the play for this at my school and I never saw the movie or the play and I ended up getting mr.warbucks!!!!!!

  • What happened to the dog?

  • @AngelKytara The dog shows up in part 3, after she leaves the orphanage.

  • @jazzykid1 yeah it is. We have to do it in the school production of Annie next week

I have to say that our hard-knock life dance is much more complicated

  • i miss the old annie when her little poofy red hair, her dog, her cute little smile, and i liked the old miss hannigan better....sorry but this movie is not good for me...

    THUMBS UP IF YOU AGREE...

  • @cookie78901 with**

  • It's Pumbaa!!!!!

  • I liked Carol Burnett better as Miss Hannigan. Kathy Bates just didn't seem right for the role.

  • @Torie3593 They sort of fulfill different roles really. Kathy Bates is a lot more threatening and imposing then Carol Burnett who even in a drunken stupor barely looked like she could swat a fly (it even featured scenes where the children outright abused her unhindered).

Kathy Bates actually makes the "have I ever hit you?" line outright scary.

As well Carol played an uttarly broken good woman crushed by her job. While Kathy played a maddened woman with questionable morals.

  • miss hannigan is wayyy meaner in the 1982 version lol. she's funny in both tho.

  • At 3:37, why are they all yelling the words and closing in on Molly? Is that deliberate?

  • Isn't that Ernie Sabella as Mr. Bundles? Wasn't he notable for some other role?

  • @KBAFourthtime He was the voice of Pumbaa in the movie The Lion King.

  • @ChicagoSouthDan *continues*... its sequel, its interquel, and its TV series spin-off. That's right.

  • Wow, one window girls? That's not doing anything...

  • Carol Burnett is the best Hannigan EVER.

  • Molly is hayley from Modern family

  • @minipancake4 NO WAY ! OMG !

  • singing along!

  • 1982, and 1999 Both Great Movie same "it's a hard knock life"

  • best one ever!

  • has anyone noticed how there is 6 beds and there is 7 kids, where does the 7th kid sleep

  • @nettiebell1231 molly and annie shared one

  • anyone eles notice that molly doesnt get a clean bed sheet lol

  • @Bdwyfan1 I think annie gives hers to molly, or something like that, but it is a bit weird she didn't get one

  • @Bdwyfan1 annie and molly share a bed. so annie got the sheet.

  • omg is that kathy bates shes so young

  • Funny how in the '82 version Ms. Hannigan is flirting with Mr. Bundles and this one is the exact opposite

  • @girllolli1 I was born in the 90s, 91 to be exact, and I like the '82 version better. Better phrase would be people born around and after 1999 seem to prefer this version better. Just sayin

  • @animefreakculicious2 I was born in '96 and I like this one SO much better..... maybe it's because I grew up on this one?

  • Oh, Miss Hannigan is the meanest thing alive.

  • Kathy Bates!!!!! LIKE A BOSS!

  • I like the 1982 one the most

  • Miranda from Lizzie Mcguire!

  • I love this movie so much!!!! It's the best version

  • how could one of my favorite actresses share her last ame with this b***h

  • "You're full of apple-sauce!" haha love that expression, I think I'll use it from now on. =)

  • 1982 version is waaaaaay better :)

  • Y is it that when they rewrite a play 2 fit the screen, they take out the best lines?

  • "That was 1922... This is 1933... Maybe they got stuck in traffic!" I miss that line!

  • Weird seeing the scariest villiness from Misery play in a children's film XD LOL! She's great as Miss Hannigan =D

  • cool

  • lol the 1999 miss hannigan is actually nicer at first but meaner at the end, and the 1982 is meaner at first but nicer at the end :P

  • 231122

  • @BALLOUTKING4 Hes saying in other words take one anyway if your sheets are clean or dirty who cares!!

  • @BALLOUTKING Hes saying in other words take one anyway if your sheets are clean or dirty who cares!!

  • I like the real version ( 1982 )

  • @0987whitey 1982 isnt the real version, the real version is 1932

  • I like how they get the buckets of soap of nowhere..

  • I loved doing this musical:)

  • she's lip singing

  • @jelli411 Yeah you can see that in just about EVERY musical.

  • AHA! in the song hard not life, they sing santa clause we never see santa clause whats that whos he annie must know who he is if she nkew santa was a boy! thumbs up if you think this is a really stupid comment!:P

  • When he gives otu the sheets if u pay attention U SEE THE LITTLE GIRL MOLLY DIDNT GET ONE! if u pay attention.. she grabs it but doesnt pick it up. THUMBS UP IF U SAW HER!

  • @cascadakat I just saw that and this is my first time watching this version I was like wait what rewind. She didn't take one O.o There was also weird part in the Hard Knock Life number, at the beginning when they pull out buckets and then they scrub the floor, the black girl randomly pulls out a green towel out of no where it wasn't there before then suddenly boom!!

  • this movie reminds me of me:) cause my mum didnt want to look after me and my dad took off when i was 5 days old :( and my nanna had to take care of me :( but she not my real nanna shes my foster mum

  • what happened to the spanish version :( i was actually improving my spanish gcse by watching this in spanish! now they've taken it off :( lol

  • they're so nice to annie in this episode -letting her go while they stay:)

  • @girllolli1 i was born in the late 90's in fact and i still like the first version better i'm not being rude it's just my opinon it's only because i watched the Annie 1982 version first (we're doing a school play but you probably don't care) which is why i like that version better but i still think this one is good

  • I like this Hannigan better personally.

  • me gusta de el año 1995 con asley jonson

  • Miss Hannigan is so meany to the kids! I would of been nicer to the kids

  • i love kathy bates xxx

  • Is the woman who plays miss Hannigan the same person who played Molly brown

  • @14lanicup Yes, she played Molly Brown in the Titanic movie.

  • im just a little more used to curly-haired annie but this version is good

  • I grew up with Annie 1 and it is much better

  • Sorry 2 a's

  • PUMBA!!!!

  • Ech.....

Sorry guys. I really don't like this version of Miss Hanigan. I'm trying to give this movie a chance, I am...but I grew up with Annie number 1. Alicia Morton does have a good voice, but this movie just ain't doing it for me...So far! So before anyone gets upset (all you annie the second lovers out there), I'm trying my hardest to watch this whole movie for ya.

  • @misscamflynn If you make it through part 4, which is about 40 percent, and your reaction is still Ech, you probably should stop watching. It will probably not get much better for you. You simply disagree with the people, like me, who like this movie.

  • I love both versions since both have some of my favorite actors

This one: Kathy Bates, Kristin Cheoweth, Victor Gaber

Old one: Bernadette Peters, Carol Burnett, Tim Curry

  • not tryin to offen anyone but does Annie HAVE to have red hair?

  • @shersher64 Well, I think its the character's trademark. Would you be happy to see Nancy without a red dress or Dorothy without her famous blue gingham dress?

  • @dramakid95 Later in this movie, when Annie becomes part of the Warbuck's household, she puts on a nice red dress. She just does not start off with a red dress. The same is true concerning the curly hair.

  • @ChicagoSouthDan Also, I think that having red hair makes Annie stand out as the 'feisty' one. :) x

  • @dramakid95 to me it doesnt matter

  • im sorry but she does not need a torch at the beginning of this. its light.

  • the annie in this movie , i wish her hair was curly

  • @Payton2314 me too i agree

  • i wonder how the new annie remake will compare to the first two

  • ...this..is.. pretty good. WOW lol =)

  • i love ms hannagin .... if that how spell it ... she funny

  • They Also Need Soap Not Just Water

  • This is the first version of Annie I ever saw. After watching it on TV I loved it so much that my mom bought the tape for me for Christmas. Now that I've seen the original movie from the 80's, I have to agree that nothing can touch it. I mean, Carol Burnett is incomparable. But this version has so may incredibly talented stars as well. And it was the first for me, so I will always like this one just a little better. Thanks for posting it!

  • i have to say this...But...

MR.BUNDLES IS PUMBAA FROM THE LION KING!!!! :D

  • carol brunett is a better miss hannagin

  • I love Cathy Bates!!!!

  • There are less girls in this one than the other.

  • i lov molly

  • This movie is exactly like my school play!! (;

  • Miss Hannagin seems like a nice lady when she says "Good morning children." The other version she would NEVER say that.

  • If you think about it, Miss Hanagin is the good guy, she just hates orphans.

  • 5:13 the girl doesnt grab a sheet xD

    FAIL

  • @4lifetwilightlover

Bah! Good gravy. Is she? -_-

  • at 5:14 the little girl doesn't grab any sheets... blooper

  • i can't find the 3rd part?

  • at 2;40 it is the worst sean i have evrey seen and mis hanagen is a little good

  • poor molly she is just imatating the woman

  • "ILOVE YOU MISS HANNIGAN .....bitch""WHAT" ISAID I LOVE YOU

  • For movie set in the 1930's, it it way to multicultural. Not that I'm complaining, it does seem odd.
