In Heat the helicopter over the city before Pacino invites De Niro for coffee. In Collateral when Foxx is walking out of Felix's club there is a song playing that sounds awesome but you get 2-3 seconds tease, then in the credits you get the whole thing and it is everything you hoped for and more. He did the same thing in Miami Vice. The boat scene put me in another world. It made me wish I was there driving the boat with the beatiful lady next to.

The jam is right before Deniro and Pacino meet face to face. It's nightime and the helicopter is above the city you can see the multicolored lights of the city, jam is playing, Deniro is driving on the highway and sees the multicolored lights of the cops in his rearview mirror, BUT we get to see the lights FIRST reflected on his windshield! Amazing vision of the director.

You should see heat because it is a masterpiece. I don't know the name of the jam but I do know that he used the SAME scene with the SAME jam in Collateral! Has anyone ever asked him why he did that? To me it seems that his movies have many levels of complexity. To this day Deniro's character in Heat is one of my favorite.
