  • I guess I'm lucky to live on south congress about a mile south of the river.

  • YES beet fries at East Side Kingz behind Liberty are so good. Served with Kewpie Mayo...mmm.

  • Austin is in Travis County, dumbass. Williamson County is Republican. So where exactly is your police state?

  • i love austin texas!!!!!!!

  • I don't why you guys are all pissed, I've lived in Austin for 7 and a half years (so far), and I have no complaints about the music or the food; I think they're great! Except for Emo's moving east..

  • I must got to Austin

  • Man I wish I cou HOLY SH*T I LIVE THERE -.-

  • @Trolleatingpankakes no, you don't. it's getting worse all the time.

  • BEST***

  • AUSTIN TEXAS BEAT CITY IN THE NATION!!

    \m/ \m/

  • @allm2012 that's a very skewed opinion.

  • @allm2012 far from it dude.

  • I love Anthony bourdain. He nicely described the ambiance of Austin in this episode. Love it!

  • South congress! i can recognize it.

  • @pizzaparty212 that's a modern day south congress that forced high rent and expensive shops to come up. do you think it has always been that way?

  • Anthony Bourdain is a self righteous twat.

And Austin is a pretentious, conservative shit nugget.

    'Keep Austin Weird'

    Yeah.

  • @BennOliverr Im sure you lead a very happy life. Go complain at another youtube video.

  • @BennOliverr Austin has some of the most diverse politics you'll encounter anywhere in the country, from libertarians and conspiracy theorists (watch Slacker or listen to Alex Jones) to anarchists, leftists and everything in between. The unique mix of cowboys, hippies, and college kids is what makes the music and cultural scene in Austin so laid-back and eclectic. There is no reality in which Austin could objectively be called either conservative or pretentious. Go visit.

  • @atboutton i think a lot of cities have people like this. what's so unusual? I do agree austin has become very pretentious and that's because of all the strangers that move here.

  • @BennOliverr Haha, shit. You deffinatly would not like Austin, you seem like a very sad and grumpy person. Maybe if you visited Austin you would lighten up?

  • @BennOliverr yeah, that slogan has been overused for too damn long but every place will hang onto it to be kool.

  • Any place that has a statue of Stevie Ray Vaugn is cool by me.

  • @bmtkid00 @100alexdel HAHA! i dont even remember writing that comment! maybe i was drunk? i still love san francisco though

  • i been to that place is suck ass,i never go there againt.

WOOT :D Please come back to austin and ill show you a very good time, Unless you have a bad attitude and hate the world you willNotMakeItHere

  • @clanbozz i like austin too the people nice good food, just that place

  • @clanbozz its not as great as it used to be. the 200 music venues have crappy music most of the time, what independent radio does austin have? KO-OP who has gotten shut down more than once for stupid stuff. the keep austin weird is way over used by everyone.

there's already too many damn restaurants. Too damn many people move here from all over forcing those who have been here their whole life further and further away while they watch everything good get destroyed.

  • @clanbozz show me a good time. lol

  • brb moving to austin

  • Ok sorry a little harsh

  • @jesuisjedwardly

    Stfu

Go die in a hole so someone can shit on your grave

  • @jesuisjedwardly why would anyone want to be like that shithole?? the gay capital of the world

  • @jesuisjedwardly only because so many people from san fran move here and want to make it like that. not one family member of mine wants to live a san fran like place.

  • "...best indepedent radio in the country" Alex Jones anyone, thanks for the bump Anthony, lol.

  • Great minds think alike?

  • Hahaha...I see a cuerny kid here! That's my neighborhood! I sure did miss Austin though.

  • fuck....austin is so cool. i am so envious.

    greetings from TORONTO.

  • @saadmanh while austin can be cool and fun... it definitely isn't an alpha city like toronto. austin lacks the diversity that cities like seattle, san francisco, or vancouver have. it'll get there soon, i'm sure. give it 20 more years! :D

  • @migol1984 @saadmanh that is exactly true. Austin has some okay places to eat but the diversity is lacking insanely, and most places are just above mediocre. Take it from someone who fell in LOVE with the city, moved there, lived there for 3 years, and left out of desperate boredom.

  • @MikeMaven if only austin were like it is during SXSW 24/7 then we'd be in serious business.

  • @migol1984 SXSW sucks. whats great about a bunch of musicians who want to come here and pretend they can play and demand their lifestyle is worth that of someone working 40 hours a week? what's good with a city filling up with a bunch of people who know nothing about SXSW and pretending they do?

  • @neworleansrocks man you're making miss sxsw more. haha

  • @neworleansrocks ummm, free beer and food and getting to see national acts for free ALL DAY AND ALL NIGHT (just 1 example Rachel Ray cooking food for free with free beer while watching the New York Dolls play for free). Those people from out of town buy the wrist bands and badges and pay for me, the local, to get everything free. Do SXSW, dont let SXSW do you

  • @boltonr420 I'd rather see GOOD local acts any time of the year without people shouting to their friends or without them writing on their phones--not touring national acts that want to pretend they love a city.

  • @MikeMaven austin has GREAT places to eat!

    try:

    Monument cafe

    1431 cafe

    hey cupcake

    mighty fine

    and many many more

  • @ctjkpeaceout any city has mediocre places like that to eat.

  • @neworleansrocks have you been here? I guess you know more than Anthony without ever coming to Austin? Everybody is an expert in the internet.........

  • @boltonr420 yeah, i have lived in south austin all my life and I have seen how terrible austin has becom. I went to a show at antones last week and dumb bitches wanted to talk the entire time. What the hell do they have to say that they can't post on each others facepages?

  • @MikeMaven o and round rock doughnuts!

  • @migol1984 wow..snobbish much.

  • @Blademaster865 not sure what's snobbish about what i said

  • @migol1984 hope not best part of austin is its perfect size you can drive across austin in 20 min and 40 min in traffic lakes close to evrywhere and as far as bars clubs trails and live music set also its full of good smoke and if you realy want a true party take it to the country at a friends eat freshest meats and the city is known as city of singles full of hot wild women ratios golden

  • @champwagner a perfect size city would be about half the population we have now so actually get places without dumb drivers all over this city.

  • @justice720 Rome was homophobic? Why do you say this, I thought different...

  • LOL at the "cornern stone of the douche bag economy is bottle service." lololol
