  • The guy at the end doing the interview sounds like Slyfoxhound

  • Its funny with people that claims monkeywalk and other physical exercises isn't a part of parkour / freerunning. In the beginning, that was what it was all about. Doing monkeywalk in long distances, doing huge amounts of repetitions, throwing, lifting heavy objects.. really functional training. The techniques came later. Its weird how people nowdays pass on parkour or freerunning as acrobatics brought outdoors. Im glad there is a certificate so its not forgotten.

  • Why remix more human than human ? the original is perfect

  • HOLY CRAP!! I know Elias M. Just moved down here in Hawaii looking for some parkour and Wow..what a small world.

  • I am very impressed by all of our fine men in the military today.. you all make me very proud to be a American. Going back out in my paradise retreat for a good run. You all insprire me to get the lead out.. And Ozzi.. we all want to thank you

    We all love ROXY

    Jack Sterling TRD

    Chiang Mai Thailand

  • yall look fragile !

  • erm, does anyone know the title of this song? Please tell me!

  • Good job, it does look like they were in good shape but Parkour is just not a "usual" exercise. Hope they will stick with it. Whoa.

  • My first day of parkour just so happened to be the day Ozzi came to visit our group. That was one hell of a first day. If there's one thing I learned then, it's that parkour is 90% conditioning.

  • lol, nubs (not the marines or ozzi, but the haters on youtube)

  • this is crap tbh :P UF one is better

  • How do I learn(train for) parkour?...I want to learn but I've got no teachers...(I live in Taiwan and the only people teaching are university students in the north I live in the south, and they teach free-running not parkour)...so what should(could) I do?

  • @Boy1062 if you want to learn about parkour, make sure you learn from reliable sources. for me, the only really reliable sources are the founders or people who have been certified to be instructors by the founders. look up videos and reading material from Parkour Generations, Majestic Force, Sebastien Foucan or David Belle. on the parkour generations website, you'll find a list of certified instructors around the world. the instructor in this video, ozzi, is certified. hope this helps!

  • @anarchopk thank you for the info ! I'll check it out when I find the time...Thank you!

  • @Boy1062 Parkour is human movement, you don't need a teacher. Focus on getting (very) strong, learning the basic moves, and how you personally react to different obstacles. Go to american parkour.com to learn different tutorials. Don't take drops over chest height for the first year. The most important thing you can do is get strong, and drill really basic moves over and over. That builds control and flow, which is a lot more important than just one move. Drill moves in twos or threes.

  • I think it wad mentioned or it could be infered several times in the video that these guys are just starting out, so enough with the criticism.

@XxofftonexX Show me a video of you doing flips with over 60lbs of Sapy plates and ammo on your body and I'll shut up.

  • I think parkour-style training could be very useful for marines and soldiers. Not to say anyone's going to be doing parkour in Baghdad, but rather when you're in a situation and you've got to vault a busted wall, or some traverse broken stairs or any kind of weird situation where you've gotta move and shit is in your way. The more in tune you are with your body, and familiar with the sort of motions involved, the less likely you'll sprain something and put yourself at further risk.

  • Next thing you know the're flowing through Baghdad.

  • 2/3 suuuucckks............jk

  • After learning freerunning, this looks kinda dumb, I've seen parkour and how they move, it's amazing, but this was low grade stuff, it would have looked much better with some tricks inquired, at such a low level it looks stupid if your not flipping....

  • @XxOffTonexX And how would learning how to flip benefit these guys?? These Devil Dogs got what they wanted out of this session, conditioning from a new perspective. I've trained with Ozzi before and he knows damn well what he's doing, just like the rest of HiPK and Urban Current. Parkour is not something you can compare with freerunning. All in short, this was very eye opening for these guys and it was physically beneficial.

  • @XxOffTonexX

Maybe they don't know how to flip. Not knowing how to flip and going into them only to land in the hospital is definitely not something you'd want to do. When you started out, I'm pretty sure you didn't just throw yourself into a flip at first and go, "I'm officially a freerunner now". It took time to get the hang of it all first, I'm sure.

  • I SEEN ME SOME ROXY! :D haha i love that dog

  • Amazing basics training session! I have to integrate some of those into my training regime. and your wide angle wasn't too dirty. I didn't even notice it until I read the description!

  • 1:47 theres your parkour dog lol

  • I think that everyone is missing the fact that they are trying something "new". And yeah i agree, these guys are probably easily strong enough to try techniques... but what if they dont have great muscle control, but they are just "strong" it wont benefit them. no matter how tough strong or fast you are, you should always start from the bottom and move up... And for all the Tracuers out there, Ur a liar if u say that u dont drill your basics more than anything

  • @ftwapoc I couldn't agree more. Parkour is like a language. You don't use your basics, then you'll forget them. And it's gonna be too late to remember that once you're stuck in a hospital bed.

  • YES! The Marine wearing Kanadia TR-2's is BEAST!

    Those are my shoes!

  • they dont look like traceurs either lol they need to get used to their movement and then they can progress cuz they already have the muscles

  • good natural exercises

am i wrong, or 0:48 not a single dude can do that exercise properly

  • It sucks that I'm not in Hawaii, you rule mate. Your training is awesome

  • omg u r all so shit u cant even do parkour u twats

  • @3run533 it's stupid kids like you that make me think 13yr olds should be banned from posting comments.

  • I don't have anything good to say about them to be honest.

  • Watz the name of the song pls

  • Ozzi this is super nuts! Oh this is Michael Zanderigo BTW :D

  • wait, did they NOT learn how to run up a wall?

  • Do you happen to know anyone in the Monterey, CA Area? I'm stationed here but I'm from Hawaii. I wanna meet up with a training group, but if not i have to wait another year till i get stationed back home....but i will be coming home for XMAS!!!

  • here to learn some PAR KAR

  • 0:30, kinda looks like the dude from jersey shore xD anyways, that was pretty cool.

  • what rank is the guy in charge?

  • That's actually brilliant. 3 hours and they looked pretty good.

  • that's awesome

  • that was nice seeing soldiers do parkour

  • It was an ok video, but I can't see this type of training benifiting them. If they have to chase the enemy or being chased, doing pressups or jumping up stairs isn't going to help. Vaults, wall climbs, underbars, wall-muscle ups can be done at low level parkour without the need for any foundations.

  • @alltheway3 obviously you don't get it. go learn about parkour some more

  • @anarchopk ok, what do I need to learn?

  • @alltheway3 plus all the heavy gear id b suprised if they got over a wall

  • @fezaz1 True, but then it would make sense to work the way up and train with weight vests, backpacks etc

  • @alltheway3 thts tru but still n wouldnt there weapoon get in the way unless they are jus doing it to enjoy themselves

  • @fezaz1 I guess n = but? If its for fun, thats fine. I'm just thinking how it would be practical for their day job. Parkour is about freedom of movement but also getting over all obstacle - if that includes the weapon they are carrying or the weight on their back, that is also an obstacle they have to get over.

  • @alltheway3 yeh plus under fire im pretty sure itd b a hard thing to do

  • There is always ways to get around it, but moving a bit differently.

  • @alltheway3 I see where you are coming from but without the strength there is not control. You need to prepare the body before moving onto bigger things, if not, they would just be doing things out of forcings themselves up rather than, control and power. That plus this training helps them develops the ability to tune in with their bodies as they continue to build skilss. You dont just take them and have them do full on movement without being prepared. Ansd this guys, werent prepared.

  • now we know what marines are gonna be doing in their spare time from now on

  • @severmine That is training parkour amigo!

  • @severmine Yea.....your a complete retard....

  • @severmine Dude, judging by you comment and your video. Maybe you should try this some time. Seems like you would need it.

  • @severmine its not bullshit wat do u think a cat balance is? as well as a kong vault? wat if u drop from a height that requires you 2 use all 4s? you need to train your body as a whole thats why parkour also incorporates quadrupedal movement. its the key 2 fluidity.

  • @severmine Seriously? You're a wimp. Do some physical training, or else you wont even be able to climb a 2 meter wall like a normal traceur.

Homework assignment: 3 kilometers of quadrupedal without getting up and drinking water.

  • Don't get me wrong i'm all for conditioning, but these guys were probably easily strong enough already to train more technical things.

  • @dougtraceur some of them were failing at the indian push-ups. There's such a huge difference between being buff and having an efficient body. The ladder is really what's important for parkour imo.

  • @dougtraceur

they're strong, but if their muscle memory isnt tuned and all they get is technique, it might fail them if they ever need it in the battlefield or real life situation.

  • @dougtraceur The problem is that Parkour requires a different type of strength. I've seen weight lifters to marines to long distance runners all struggle. There's a multitude of small muscle groups that need to be built before one can safely practice all the technical aspects.

  • @dougtraceur A lot of this conditioning seemed good for their technicality, which they probably don't typically focus on. Also looked like it got them comfortable with movements they don't do often..

  • Parkour is a warrior art. It is interesting to see conventional soldiers taking to it. I'm sure there'd be something to learn from both sides.

  • However you all feel about Marines, they have decided to put their life on the line for ideals in which they believe they are protecting the people back home, including the ones making snide comments on YouTube. Parkour is a great idea for Marines to add to their training regimen because it deals with versatility and flow which they will use every day in the field and can hopefully incorporate into saving theirs or their friends lives.

  • This is so wrong, Don't like this at all, sry

  • sooo you had them go through metcons before technical training?...

  • Epic.

  • Modern history magic. =) Not like the others, but truly it's a magic — learn to see things in different perspective. Great video: you can see how ugly movements became more fluid — moment, when this magic hit marines. And I really liked their reaction, it's adequate and healthy. No one damaged himself or smth. P.S. Pls, give marines this video: watch?v=Poph6Jmc688, it's a short film about parkour mental side. Peace!

  • great way to get agile in the warzone i guess :D

  • awsome

  • Marines in Iraq doing parkour...i don't think so

    but nice initiative

  • Nice...
