  • @Warbird5162 Watch the episode, they tried everything.

  • if he were to "break" the sound barrier , he would shatter every window within a mile

  • @jacked080 actually.. mythbusters checked that and it didnt break anything.

  • @boobyboob69 actually, a canadian airforce jet back in the late 60s went mach atleast mach 1.5 at the canadian international airshow in toronto and several building, houses and vehicles were damaged by the shockwave, and thousands of people complained about the noise from the sonic boom... and that was prietty much the end of supersonic passes anywhere near downtown toronto

  • A/C could also mean....aircraft carrier, air cushioning, anti climax, ....

  • That isn't breaking the sound barrier, it's just a pressure wave.

  • @Sting3733 your an idiot, it says almost breaks sound barrier learn to fuckin read

  • @100purcent He may have changed the title of the video. Secondly, it's you're.

  • This is what is called trans-sonic flight. It is when the Aircraft is between .8 - and 1.2 mach. During trans-sonic flight some of the air passing over the A/C is actually passed the sound barrier even though the A/C is not passed the sound barrier.

  • @volvorules60r

Yes you are correct. But A/C doesn't stand for aircraft, it stands for air conditioning. so essentially, you guys said that some of the air passing over the air conditioning is actually passed the sound barrier even though the air conditioning is not passed through the sound barrier. yeah, that doesn't quite make sense :P

  • @Ceasar1030 it is common knowledge in the aviation world that A/C means Aircraft

  • @Volvorules60r: I know, i am just kidding around with you :P

  • watch?v=jqdbCGzmCfg

    this is the real thing

  • ive also seen more air vapor from a f18 pulling the stick hard at 380knots then this, its not all about speed when you see a shroom.

  • hes maybe doing 600 knots which is standard for canadian pilots doing arshows, hes still 90+ knots away from the sound barrier, the blue angels back in the mid 90s shattered 2 blocks worth of skyscraper windows during the vancouver airshow, needless to say car alarms were going off for kms, the pilot was repremanded severly.

  • It's too bad breaking the sound barrier around certian areas is out lawed

  • Yeah, not really though, unless you want your eardrums blown out and car windshield shattered along with anything else in proximity.

  • in 1963 a canadian jet broke the sound barrier at one of the first toronto airshows..... several windows got broke and old people hurt there ears..... now they dont do it anymore

  • HOLY COCK!

  • you dont need to break the sound barrier or have a drop in air pressure to create a "boom" vortex around the aircraft. if there is enough speed or pressure built up by the manouver itself it will condense air particles to the point of forming "light clouds" which is the vortex you see, when the aircraft booms in the S.O S you will see a 6-12Ft Vortex around the aircraft

  • This video show like is unusual the CF brake sound barrier...lol

  • too small for a real sonic boom though...

  • theres so much misinformation on youtube... vapor clouds occur when theres a DROP IN AIR PRESSURE around the jet, ppl asscociate it with a sonic boom it happens at sub aswell as supersonic speeds... theres absolutely nothing in this video that proves this jet is at or above mach 1

  • Rofl i thought it did break the sound barrier making its high speed pass. I was right under it! 0.0

Wish they did just to hear that thing even louder!

  • And then not hear too much of anything after that ahahah

  • It is almost like he is teasing the crowd...... The condensation forms when you are anywhere within 50 knots of the sound barrier. You actually need permission to break the sound barrier.

  • the pilot was hotboxing CF-18 ... he rolled down the window to let the smoke out ... he's flying high..

    nice show btw

  • It's called transonic speed, i.e. just around the speed of sound, but not quite or a little over. The condensation starts a little before mach-1 so they make use of this cool "special effect" :) There's a whole skyline of glass covered skyscrappers just next to the airshow box, I can't even imagine the damage that could be done if the pilot didn't watch that speed :)

  • Sonic booms are like thunder

  • awesome!

  • Well of course the planes are not allowed to go sonic speed at the Air Show (safety & noise reasons) but I explain more in the description of how close and cool it was.

  • he never broke it if he did it would of broke all the windows of the cars passing by

  • that dude did not break the sound barrier. It's MUCH louder than that! Nice video though.

  • yea thats cool.. yea in my videos it does'nt go boom but in my videos it's not as clear eather lol.. nice videos..

  • excellent catch! I was wishing I had my camera when I was down there and heard that. I knew instantly he was so close to breaking the sound barrier. Good one and nice depiction in the video.

  • Haha, I actually hear that!

    Wicked cool.

In the Air Show I didn't though.
