Even though I disagree with many on this site, I still show respect towards those with differing opinions. I do not call them names, nor say that they are bad parents for not having their son(s) circumcised. I believe it is the parents' choice. Too bad others cannot show the same degree of respect towards others.

@Naughtygoodgurl5000 As for religous justification of forced infant male circumcision, the only mainstream religions that practice ritual infant circumcision are the Jewish and Muslim religions. Any religion that accepts the new testament as scripture is going to have a hard time defending the practice of forced infant circumcion as doctrine. If you truly believe as you say, then you have no foundation to criticise the religious practice of female circumcision or in the extreme cases FGM.

I think that this issue should be discussed by the parents and the doctor. Everyone has the right to their opinions, however, they don't have the right to force their viewpoint (i.e trying to ban circumcision) on other parents. I believe in circumcision and that's my right as a mother. To each their own. Its all about respect.

I think that it is unfair for men when many of them are expected to be circumcised to be "cleaner" but women themselves don't realize how dirty they actually are moreso compared to even a man that has not been circumcised. Women have lots of moisture and warmth which leads to the growth of bacteria and possible yeast overgrowth which happens to many women.
If I was a guy, I would actually be paranoid about having a sexual relationship with a woman, I'd stick to the hand if I was them. lol

Women have an ample supply of their own bacteria, smegma, dead cells, body oils, blood, urine, lint and residue from feminine hygiene products in and on their vulva. All too many women in the US have some very sexist views about infant circumcision, and I applaud your honest objective comments on the subject matter.

Circumcision was used historically to prevent masturbation, recent surveys show that a circumcised male on average actually has a higher rate of masturbation than an intact one. If it weren't for liquid soaps and other lubricants that might not be true as it was also found that an intact male was far less likely to use lubrication to masturbate.

I did see. The wishes of 8% of the voters - to have a ballot initiative banning forced foreskin amputation - were overruled on a technicality.
The court found circumcsion to be in he same class as puppy tail docking and kitten de-clawing, all protected by an ill-conceived state law from the last decade designed to protect the incomes of mutilators from concsiencious local action to protect the vulnerable.
