Hahaha fuck that steam for macs is garbage I'm a mac user and I trashed steam the first day couldn't get tf2 to even open steam kept shutting down and I'm using a 2010 17 mackbook pro so fuck you mr throw away your old mac I got a genforce 900 I go to bootcamp and play giant games at high quailty apple computers aren't gaming machines that's why we have bootcamp so we have the best of both worlds and tools cantt say macs can't game cause all I have to do it hit my little option button on start

I've got to the point where the only 2 games I play on Mac are QuakeLive and Urban Terror and they play just fine.

I know the PC guys say that the PC has MORE games but who really cares which one has more.

I'm good at those 2 games, I'm nor gonna waste my time on other stupid games... I have a playstation for that :)

The applications suites like iLife or Final Cut Studio.

Virus protection. The fact that computer selection is subjective. The lines between the two are blurring. The Mac is more for film makers or artists while the computer is sort of for the gamer (Steam on Mac does not suck) and the office worker. It's also a bit cheaper.

You see, all the Valve games aviable for the mac on steam are really not mac compatible, becouse the source engine arnt mad for mac! its just a port! If they wanted to make the game FOR the mac, they will have to rebuild the entire source engine, and that whould take WAYY to much time, and the macs wouldnt be able to handle the computer power it needs, its true! Mac sux. I got one mac, and thats enough! And we have to remember that Gabe Newell, at the start, worked at microsoft!

As a PC User and Debian addict, I'm glad they finally ported Steam to the Mac; since Apple's platform is basically a stripped-and-re-polished form of BSD, it's only a matter of time before they (and other game makers) make the move to Linux and I can finally uninstall Windoze permanently.

Plus, most of the Mac gamers, being unable to bring themselves to own a PC, are total noobs and thus plum for the pwning.

Another thing I'd like to mention is that I can run UT2K4 with full specs and it runs at full fps. I can also run Nexuiz at pretty high specs as well.

@animals232 Thanx but I've tried all that. and im not running some old piece of junk here; Its a white iMac late 2006, 2GHz Intel Core 2 Duo, 4GB RAM, ATI Radeon X1600 128MB, Snow Leopard with all updates.

I can run QuakeLive just fine now (other than the 40 fps cap for mac) but Steam games just dont run as good as they should :(
