  • the Z should run on the middle track to bway junction and the J should just be local instead of skip stop

  • @bvestationfan Guys ,guys look the london underground pisses on ny subway get used to it

  • I was on this line 1/15/10.. The R42 cars are all gone. The J and M trains are all new R160 cars.

  • i betyou dont remember the qj train that ran from 168street to coney island i remember that train it used to be fun to ride

  • thanks

  • wats the serivce speed for nyc subway?

  • fastest is actually about 57 MPH in the 60th street tunnel. Most express and good local runs get around 37-45 MPH

  • The downgrade of the Queens-bound track in the BMT 60th Street Tunnel is the stretch in which trains travel the fastest. It do have a 50 MPH timer, but trains often go past that mark. R160 N or W train - 56MPH and the R68A W train - 57 or 58 MPH.

  • would've been better if myrtle to marcy!

  • WOW! Staitons in NY are really close together. In NY are there staitons on ground level?

  • No, they are all grade separated, except for the short stretches where the tracks go from below ground to above ground.

  • nice video

  • The J train is the getoest train ever

  • what do u mean?

  • Damn this bring back a lot of memories when i ride this train from Jamaica then tranfer to the 6 local going to school @ 14 and 1st Ave. This was the spot i would ride for the while trip. FLASH BACK!!!

  • That's hot. I like that

  • Only problem with the newer trains like the R-142's, 3's and 60's is that you can't get a good view out the front like you could with most of the others.

  • Wait the express J is only in one direction? How come there isn't an express line for the other direction?

  • Because the Z runs on the same line,it operates to Manhattan in the morning, and towards Queens in the afternoon.

  • Wait what? It's a little hard understanding what people mean by just writing.

  • No,listen.The Z operates rush hours only,so there's no need for a fourth track.

  • So rush hour is only for one direction?

  • Exactly.

  • Alright thanks.

  • Peak direction express service. Toward Manhattan in the AM, away from Manhattan in the PM. Fairly common on elevated lines in NYC.

  • There are only 6 Z trains daily in the AM/PM rush hour. 5 of them are R160As.

  • wow i always love seeing that front view on the j train

  • The R42's are a rare sight on the L line. And why do you have to call me 'stupid'? Can't you simply state your opinion withouth any derogatory name calling?

  • I hate that on the new cars on the L line you can't look out the window from the first car and enjoy the sights. It is very distorted view from the new cars. And soon they will replace the J train cars with the new ones. So enjoy it while it last.

  • That's true!Because they're in the process of replacin' the old cars with new ones,it means clearer announcements,a smoother ride from point A to point B,and faster service.

  • 4 an express that was pretty slow

  • Since the J is rather pokey, that's considered express.

  • nice run

  • man, this el line has 2 many local trains!!! Why do we need so much jmz trains. Convert them to the n bastards!!!

  • because people need this line more than the N

  • Illegal why? Passenger saftey Issue?

  • Very nice. I've never done that trip on the express.

    Did you have a tripod?

  • Tripods are illegal in the subway. He most likely posted his camera up against the rf window.
