I think the only time Archons would ever be viable is PvZ, they do so much damage to everything zerg and they cost just as much as a colossus in gas. Why is it nobody ever uses them?

@DoCKathos Well that is a good question, the high templars beforehand give a nice touch with storm, but against zerg the storm is only viable when the zerg player is off creep, so they can only be used in a defensive capacity before that. Also with Archons being basically a melee unit with their range they wouldn't provide as much damage to the battlefield overall, making shields actually hamper their abilities whereas a colossus is at a major advantage behind those shields.

@cael87 I only mention archons because they are devastating against everything zerg and Corruptors are a pretty easy counter to colossus. In the case where he ran in the back door there and hugged the wall, if there had been 3-4 archons in that group they would have killed the lings almost instantly, plus I think they can reach over the force fields (not entirely sure). Just something to ponder, plus archons are underused big time gotta find their niche =D I don't mean storm, straight up archons
