i play for high school and for us if the ball hits the ceiling and stays on out side its fine, but if it goes over then we lose the point

how did the ball change directions between 9 seconds and 11 seconds? maybe my concept of physics is wacked, but did the ball hit the roof and the refs missed it? this play is confusing me to no end. either way, that save was hard as ****

In US volleyball rules the roof is legal. I know its stupid. Im from Canada also so when we went down there to play they were playing balls off the roof and they were still considered in play

@ampleant different places have different ruling. im guessing this was in the states somewhere because some places in the states allow the ball to contact the roof.

@ampleant In Men's College Volleyball the ball can hit the ceiling.

@ampleant the volleyball can hit the ceiling as long as it stays on the same side. If you hit it and it hits the ceiling and goes over the net, it doesn't count
