I wouldn't deny any 9/11 victims or emergency rescue workers aid, but entitlement programs (programs that give money to people that do not provide products or services to earn that money) are a problem and a drain on the economy. England is an excellent example. It's not sustainable. I wouldn't deny any 9/11 victims or emergency rescue workers aid, but entitlement programs (programs that give money to people that do not provide products or services to earn that money) are a problem and a drain on the economy. England is an excellent example. It's not sustainable. I'm not saying Grandma can't have her 20k - 30k wheel chair for free, but that should come from local community sources (non-profit, church, charity), not the federal gov't.

The bill's funding came from closing a special tax loophole for corporations doing business in the US. Thus, the US Chamber of Commerce lobbied members of Congress to kill it. Is it any wonder Bachmann and the rest of them had such a tough time voting "yes?"

Also, what reason would they have to make WTC collapse? If their aim was to draw us into conflicts in the Middle East, and they flew planes into the WTC buildings and the Pentagon, why demolish the WTC? Clearly just flying the planes into the buildings and killing hundreds of people as well as attempting to kill thousands more would have been enough if it were pinned on Islamic terrorists. Why destroy the center of your country's financial system too, just for giggles?

@SSky06 WTC 7 contained a lot of info on some of the country's biggest scandals and frauds. I'm sure all the companies who were going to be in trouble were very pleased that all the information against them was destroyed. Similar to how Donald Rumsfeld admits 2.3 TRILLION dollars are missing on 9/10, and then the exact place the pentagon is attacked is where ALL the information and workers regarding the 2.3 trillion were. So that money just disappeared

Boo hoo to Bachmann for turning a perfectly good thing, entitlement programs, into a bad thing, much like others turned "liberal" into a bad word. How does she not see that her support of the military-industrial complex is also an entitlement program, or that giving tax cuts to billionaires while in the Great Recession & in two+ wars is not yet another entitlement program? Her let-them-eat-cake priorities are whack; she only sees what she wants to see, serving the needs of the already powerful.

You need to understand where Bachmann's district is... I lived there for 6 years when I was in high school, it is a highly religious, low educated, farming area, the kind of place where you get called a "fag" for not wearing cowboy boots.

@audadvnc I don't support farm subsidies at all, but your claim that Bachmann is getting a half million dollars of it is ludicrous. "Bachmann's family farm received $251,973 in federal subsidies between 1995 and 2006. Bachmann’s financial disclosure forms indicate her stake in the Wisconsin farm is worth up to $250,000. Her income from the farm has grown from $2,000 a year a few years back to as much as $50,000 for 2008." Get your facts straight.
