hey i am leaving for the Army as an EOD specialist in april if any Current or former EOD techs could take the time to just tell me about the job in more detail than the recruiters i would appreciate it, if you could just send me a message with you're email. thanks for the time.
The intro gives me the shivers. You guys are doing a good job. Nothing but respect to you. Keep going like you're doing guys, maybe one day this stupid war will be over. Maybe.
I, "Doc" Eric John Horsey, created this video. I didn't post it, but I did create it. I did it for my Marines and to respect and remember the ones that fell...on days I'll never forget. We...the guys that were part of our team...made sure that what you see in this video is EXACTLY what we experienced. The footage came from US, not someone elses tour. This is what we experienced almost every day. Semper Fi.
Hey brother, this is a great tribute and you did an awesome job! Thanks for doing your job as a Corpsman and moreover thanks for supporting the Teams. A good Corpsman on my EOD Team always made for good times and was a tad reassuring. Though not on my Team when he was hit, Sgt Justin Walsh (DWRIA 11 Oct 2006) made it back to the states because of the work of Doc Timmy Simbeck. You won't really understand how much we, EOD, appreciate and value having you guys on the Team.
On 31 Aug. 2010 combat ops officially ended in Iraq & couldn't help but think about our fallen EOD brothers. All of them deserve our highest respect & admiration. I (CWO4 B.) served with Martone (99-01) & Fry (briefly in 01) at MCAS Iwakuni EOD & Boatman at New River (98-99) & was at Martone's memorial service at Quantico. Appreciate your outstanding tribute to our fallen EOD brothers. Marine, you genuinely made my day brighter. Semper Fi & God Bless you & our Corps.
@Hollymu8, Many other brothers in the EOD community have fallen and as is the nature of the job, there will unfortunately be more. I had the pleasure of knowing and going through EOD school with, and the honor to serve as John's CACO.This video doesn't include every name, but for anyone who has been saved by, briefly met, been friends or family to anyone who has worn a Crab, know that they will not be forgotten. For each EOD Tech lost there were hundreds upon hundreds of lives saved...We remember.

the crab that you showed was very awesome in design but the ones who have earned the right to wear it and put on the big eod patch each morning are the most intellegent driven intense unique detail oriented people in the world and when they do their jobs you dont hear about them because it wont be the day you remember as the day the ied went off. my husband is eod and is currently on his fourth deployment and he does this to bring you home and he does it by choice u r that important. stay safe!
sick video. i was a combat engineer in the marines. did a lot of demo shit, but obviously not the eod homeboys. my buddt's in eod now, he loves this shit. respect.
To answer your first, yes. As for the other,Teams don't operate as a Plt, we are further broken down into smaller elements. Many firefights have began because we arrived on scene. Asking if one Plt encounters more than another cant be answered with a simple yes or no. An infantry Plt in general stands better chances of encountering one due to their role. Each and every time any EOD Team gets called out for an IED, that IS a combat situation because there is a weapon staring at us in the face.
iraq sucks ass blow the bastards that go against us up in there own bombs..to them who are gratefull for us being there god bless them and to those who took care of that seal and didnt let him die but and olhusc learn to spell iraq right and let me see u be a marine
long live irak !!!..the 90% of cowards of marines dont have opcions , only the army ...this is the diferents to warriors of irak ...god bless irak !!!!!!!!!!!!loooseeerss
