I studied this lovely aria as a young baritone 20-plus years ago, but never began to sing it as beautifully and movingly as Croft:).

Only beatiful part? all is beatiful in this opera: the libretto, the parts of Claggart, the moment of the novice in first act, the choirs, the moments of Captain Verve...
