  • her name was Susan Kuykendall from Fresno Calif. and yes she only made this one record on the WB label when she was 12 yrs old. Her sister was Ricky page who was a recording artist and wrote many songs with her partner George Motola. She did tour with her Cousins "The Majorettes" in the 60's for the records "White Levis"" and "Oh Please come back" and she also sang with them as "The Bermudas" on the record "Blue Dreamer".Let me know if you want to hear more.

  • i believe she is susan candiotti of los angeles. she'd sing this song way way b'fore it every got air play. not the susan candiotti of cnn fame.

  • Who actually WAS Little Suzie? Anyone know anything about her? I used to have a DEMO record of this song, with "The Boy I Left Behind" on its flip side. Always loved her voice.

  • @SponDooley Couldn't find any info, but saw WB UK label scan, and the US original is on Renco..."The Boy I Left Behind" is the flip on all copies, so maybe she only cut the one record...I've never even heard the other side, but this one's pretty good

  • @thecountofbasie Thanks for the speedy reply, me pal and for the info. Yes, information on the elusive Little Suzie is very thin on the ground, isn't it? Maybe someone at WB would have more information on her. Incidentally, love your nickname, but tell me, are you a friend of the Duke of Ellington? LOL, only joking. :-)
