try putting any pillows inside your bass drum.

Putting pillows in your bass drum is not what you want to do. Resonance is key to a good tune, at least in my opinion. If you put pillows in your bass drum, they will lay against the heads and it'll cost resonance.

@MikePostDrums i agree with him. dont put pillows in your bass drum. i use egg crate foam. its like, 1 1/2" thick at the top of the bumps. and i cut it to size, it wraps up in my bass drum, half way up both sides. so the bottom half of the bass drum has foam. and the top doesnt. and i cut it so that the foam doesnt touch the heads. :D i have been getting questions about it. so i could post a short vid if you want...

not too shabby.. your drums could defiantly use some moon gels or atleast some cardboard and duck tape.... mcs cymbals suck... and you just need to crank the shit out of your snare so it will give you a nice fat tone not a flat tone... any way good job
