  • You handle the double action very well. It seems like you're shooting a semi auto pistol.

  • Isn't it true that you can only load six rounds in USPSA Revolver division? Does that make it difficult to compete with a 7-shot revolver?

    I'd love a 686+ but I'd also like to be able to run the gun in some matches without an awkward hassle (like running 6 shots only in 7 shot speedloaders).

    I think IDPA requires a max of 6 shots too. Very annoying. The 7-shot revolvers are just growing more and more popular in the real world.

  • @classof77 It puts you in the open class, so you're competing with moon clips, optics and whatever else they want to put on their gun. I didn't buy this gun for competition, but if I were think about it now, I'd have bought the 6-shot with the moon clip cylinder. S&W sells a compensated 8-shot in 357 magnum that takes moon clips, only $1500. :)
