The PRS stock nut is the best. I had a good year finacially, soI recently walked into Guitar Satan for a new axe.I couldnt decide between the PRS singlecut or A Les Paul Traditional, so I bought both. After amonth with both, the PRS FAR exceeds the Gibson in every way, especially tuning stability. The new Gibson Corion nut simplybinds the string to the point of having to retune every song to the point of needing to be replaced. PRS stays in tune for days. A Plek machine cuts the Gibson nuts, yuk
Yes, I agree with you Keyboard warriorz, The PRS Nut is made of a special material that is soley patented by PRS. He calls it "UN Obtanium", but it is more like a synthetic Teflon that actually secretes teflon in a molecular form. Never dries up, it is just a slippery material that will keep your strings gliding in the nut slots(never hanging up like Bone) Although Bone nuts may give the PRS a brighter tonality, I prefer the tone of the PRS UNOBTAINIUM Teflon/Graphite NUT. PRS Guitars RULE
how much for it?
