  • please wiring diagram! :)

  • @91Fritzi watch?v=CnSQQNA0E9g

  • greta work , i love the spark gap . can you please show the schematics or send them to me

  • Respond to this video...

  • YOU ARE A TESLA MAGICIAN

  • Excuse my ignorance, but why is a rotory spark gap advantageous as opposed to a static one?

  • @luke036r. The static gaps tend to misfire or fire early and are more dificult to finetune.A static gap behaves like a bad zener diode and has variables that costantly change e.g. the dryness of air or the temperature of the gap's electrodes . The rotary on the other hand is a fast on-off switch with the only variable being the turns per min which you adjust easily, giving you total control over charge/discharge timing, or even automaticaly based on circuits that monitor the capacitor's charge.

  • @luke036r build it and your ignorance will be gone :)

  • good job, it´s a beatiful tesla coil

  • @fernando140887 thanks

  • Very nice RSGTC but its not the smallest =O. Search smallest rotary spark gap tesla coil in youtube and thats a small one =D. Amazing tesla coil none the less. And awesome spark gap btw!

  • @zker666 The TC you're talking about is very nice and very small indeed. The rot. spark gap though is almost the same size...and mine uses 4 gaps. His OVERALL construction is better than mine, no doubt.

  • spark gap= awesome

  • very awesome work! where did you get the schematics?

  • the basic schematic and theory are all over the net

just search for tesla coil. It would'nt be fare to mention only 2 or 3 of all the people that are in this kind of sickness :-)

  • whats an estimate for the hv output from the ignition coil?

  • LOVE the tiny spark gap awsome!!!

  • so on the ignition coil do u put the HV out through the primary of the tesla coil and into one of the ignition coil primary. because mine only works if i only put the HV output through my tesla coil primary and leave the other end unconnected

  • hi, Tesla coils are NOT harmless toys... keeping that in mind, google for plans and read about transformers in general. If you do something wrong there is a good chanse you blow something up or hurt yourself. Don't start building something you can't understand well.

  • so must the motor spin at a specific speed? I was told a motor spark gap is the HARDEST of all with figuring the correct hz. I thought u could just jam any motor to it and crank different speeds?

  • is there any reason why you used a belt drive?

  • i wanted less revolutions but without limiting the current too mutch from the motor.

  • guess u're right..

  • Hi - great coil. Could you share some more info about your homemade PVC pipe tank capacitor (dimensions etc)?

  • this is a plasma globe

  • Wrong. Plasma globes are made with gasses and "negative" pressure...

  • strictly speaking, this is a plasma globe and not a tesla coil

  • It should be more like:

Srictly speaking, it's a tesla coil with a light bulb on top retaining the streamers.

  • i agree

  • love the sound distortion;)

    nice work!

  • its crazy how the spark gap always messes with the camera, but not the coil energy discharge.

  • It's because of the intense UV generated by the spark gap. The camera can't compensate for the extreme brightness in contrast to the dark room.

  • Making electricity go in the aether is a lot of fun. The Tesla light bulbs didn't last long as told by him on a web page. The one wire light bulb insides disintegrates after time.

  • That can't be good?

  • lol UV light

  • There's a gas inside a light bulb?

  • Nope, it's a vacuum. The filament wire is what glows and eventually deteriorates.

  • actually no it WAS a vaccuum its now argon - an inert gas

  • Yeap, right!!!

In order to light my faster and prevent possible damage if I'm right!?!?1

  • Ole..si señor ;-)

  • cool

  • ha! nice indeed! As I can see, one runs at ~60 watts, ye?

  • Hey! Nice video!

Please, I want to know how to make a rotary spark gap. Can I know? Can you tell please dude?

  • just google it.
