A great movie about love and responsibility. It really touched my heart, it is not whether you are gay or straight it is about who you fall in love with! I got to watch it again and again!
Notice that in the trailer you never actually see them kiss. It's always like this. But you see straight people kissing all the time in trailers. Just irritates me. Great movie though.

Is this a gay movie that all the gay people go strait and find out that being gay is totally wrong? They find out that being gay is like abnormal and they should follow their gender correctness and not their perverted lusts? Don`t tell me being gay is correct...It is biologically wrong. The parts are on your body are meant for the opposite sex. Plain and simple people. If you get turned on by the same sex then go for it. Just don`t tell me it is OK and normal. It is not ,end of discussion.

I have to disagree. I like Brokeback Mountain but it feels like there's no resolution in it. They just fuck throughout the years before they get old and one of them "you know" (I don't want to spoil anyone) I was not satisfied with the ending but I'm sure others were.
I wasn't a huge fan of Broakeback Mountain either. It was the first gay film I'd seen in a theater, but that's about all it is for me. The movie had great acting and it was emotional, but honestly, I didn't tear up...eh.
Ollian part 45 was more entertaining on the other hand! Yay!!
This movie makes me feel so good and so bad at the same time, it's weird!! I spose it's coz the story is so beautiful but I'm left wishing that I could find such a beautiful love like that too. Also, I havn't heard anyone else mention the age difference between these guys, Zach's about 25 aand Shaun's about 35, but they don't seem to care coz they just dig eachother so you don't really notice - awesome!
but iif u watch the scene where zach, gabe and shaun are at the beach, gabe is joking about how shaun is old now and rides a 'longboard' and shaun says "call me back in 10yrs about that". The age diffenence is also referenced in the scene where shaun and zach are in his car b4 splitting up and zach says "i'm sick of being your wet dream, get another childhood fantasy" or something like that. (do i sound fanatical, noticing these details? lol)
the 10 years cud be rounded off... lol... i got the ages from a review of the movie on some website... since you have been going thru the minute details fanatically maybe i am wrong :-)
yeah I wouldnt trust a reviewers comments, they can be full of crap, making their own judgement and passing it as the truth. you just gotta form ur own opinion from the movie, maybe their ages werent even written into the script. For me, this movie was a way to figure out myself. Knowing that i had feelings i couldnt explain was a worry to me, but once i watched this movie, i knew they were nothing to be ashamed of.
This movie brought me the realization that there are people out there that are scared about who they are, but they shouldnt be.
Since thise movie i have become openly gay, and have helped many friends to come out. I hope many others watch this movie and realize who they are because of it
"Shelter" is an awesome movie; it's well worth owning. Also, you're helping out alternative cinema by buying it. This is a movie that you can watch over and over again. It's one of the most romantic movies that I have ever seen.

This movie is the best movie I have ever seen. I'm not sure if it is because the main character is around my age or what, but it definately is a film to see. The plot is really intense and it has so many emotions in it, but its not sappy or over the top. The actors do an amazing job. It is a perfect story.

I saw the movie last night and trust me , it's gonna be worth your time, it's just....you know , pretty real, the characters are believable and the story makes sense and the scenery is breathtaking.I didn't expect it to be good when I downloaded it,but it really was worth my evening,definetely.I do recommend it if you want a slice of life-type of story with enough drama as not to ruin the atmosphere and seem believable.I did enjoy it.A lot,actually =D

Not a bad film. Pretty good actually but with a somewhat weak plot. Some things that happened in the movie were a bit...fake feeling. But, the actors worked hard and the story is nice. Definatly worth watching though!

i want to fall in love like this so0o bad. sounds desperate but who the fuck cares. beautiful it is. and this should not only exist in movies. i wished everyone one would remember that we all belong to eachother and if we do just that, then wars and hatred would no longer co-exist with us. everyone has a soulmate. lets find eachother.

This movie is the best movie I have ever seen. I'm not sure if it is because the main character is around my age or what, but it definately is a film to see. The plot is really intense and it has so many emotions in it, but its not sappy or over the top. The actors do an amazing job. It is a perfect story.

I saw the movie last night and trust me , it's gonna be worth your time, it's just....you know , pretty real, the characters are believable and the story makes sense and the scenery is breathtaking.I didn't expect it to be good when I downloaded it,but it really was worth my evening,definetely.I do recommend it if you want a slice of life-type of story with enough drama as not to ruin the atmosphere and seem believable.I did enjoy it.A lot,actually =D

I saw this movie a long time ago and recently bought it on deeveedee. It awards repeated viewings, and IT IS NOT the cali surf version of brokeback mountain like moonbaby77 said. Watch it and you'll see what I mean.

Love this movie, Hate the sister; she was a bitch who cared more about what she was missing in life and not the fact her brother gave up every thing for her son. but,I love the ending.. very sweet movie

Not a bad film. Pretty good actually but with a somewhat weak plot. Some things that happened in the movie were a bit...fake feeling. But, the actors worked hard and the story is nice. Definatly worth watching though!

Does anyone know whether either of the actors are gay in real life? I know its irrelevant for the sake of the movie (which I love!) but Im just curious given how convincing their acting was. If they are straight then I really admire their acting ability.
