If the stock market drops buy more silver since its on sale. the current gold to silver ratio is about 60-1. Goldline tried to sell me gold Swiss Francs with a 69% premium over the spot (cash) price. That is totally outrageous as gold coins should be no more that an 8% premium above spot price. But is it criminal? They told me the price during the transaction. Also I was told that the high premium is justified by all the support that Goldline gives to its clients. HA!!! I was aghast! Such kutzbah!

Today (7-10-10) APMEX is offering gold eagle one ounce coins for only $49 over spot price. That is 0.4% profit for APMEX. Also "Gainesville Coins" is very good. Also I recommend going to coin shows and coin shops as it is fun and educational to talk to experts in gold and silver. I hope that this is helpful.
@Reignunlimited Yes I've heard of Monex. I've used their website to check the latest gold & silver prices. You have to call then up on the phone and talk to a live sales person in order to find out what they will charge you. I haven't done that. The sales commission can drive up the prices which I doubt will come close to the low prices that APMEX charges. I understand that they must make a profit but let them make their profit from others. Never pay more than 8% over spot including shipping.

@salbella50 The "spot" price for an ounce of gold today (9-27-10) is $1,298. The $49.00 is the amount you pay on top of the $1, 298 per oz. of gold so you pay a total of $1,347. Believe it or not that is a very good deal as that is a 4% over spot price. You can get that deal at APMEX. Compare that to Goldline who offered to sell me gold for 69% over spot.

haha my uncle had a major issue with this company. not surprised to see this here. goldline is not worth it's weight in gold. there are so many people selling you gold based on the bad economy and that's fine, but you gotta be careful. i went to a smaller broker who executes trades and isn't in a hurry. bigger firms just see you as a number. don't go by what beck or levin or other radio hosts say.

Goldline tried to sell me gold Swiss Francs with a 69% premium over the spot (cash) price. That is totally outrageous as gold coins should be no more that an 8% premium above spot price. But is it criminal? They told me the price during the transaction. Also I was told that the high premium is justified by all the support that Goldline gives to its clients. HA!!! I was aghast! Such kutzbah!

Today (7-10-10) APMEX is offering gold eagle one ounce coins for only $49 over spot price. That is 0.4% profit for APMEX. Also "Gainesville Coins" is very good. Also I recommend going to coin shows and coin shops as it is fun and educational to talk to experts in gold and silver. I hope that this is helpful.

@Reignunlimited Yes I've heard of Monex. I've used their website to check the latest gold & silver prices. You have to call then up on the phone and talk to a live sales person in order to find out what they will charge you. I haven't done that. The sales commission can drive up the prices which I doubt will come close to the low prices that APMEX charges. I understand that they must make a profit but let them make their profit from others. Never pay more than 8% over spot including shipping.

@salbella50 The "spot" price for an ounce of gold today (9-27-10) is $1,298. The $49.00 is the amount you pay on top of the $1, 298 per oz. of gold so you pay a total of $1,347. Believe it or not that is a very good deal as that is a 4% over spot price. You can get that deal at APMEX. Compare that to Goldline who offered to sell me gold for 69% over spot.

Goldline preys on elderly people and uses high pressure sales tactics. Yes, people need to do the research but this doesn't excuse a company from doing this to others. Many have been victims and this company should be bound to the laws of legitimate business practices like any other company. It is inexcusable.
