Corey and Shawn drinking together is basically me and my best friend when he was going through a bad break-up. Including the hug and saying we love each other. And yes we peed on a cop car. Cop wasn't there, saw us, we ran like hell and managed to get away.
Parent caught us trying to sneak into the house late. Got the same lecture from my parents, but got mixed messages. Mom thought it was a great night, Dad thought we were just stupid.
@ZulKoji Well, if you want to think of it realisitcally, there is a chance the cops had been watching them for a while cuz they were drunk in public and acting fairly odd before they got caught by the cops.
I still think it's dumb that this episode was banned from Disney Channel

And, even though Shawn isn't a bad person, he understands that is the way people view him, and he understood that Alan was mad and would have blamed anyone but his own kid in that situation.
Watching this as a legal adult, it occurs to me that the only reason that what they're doing can be considered wrong is that they're under age. Aside from that (and peeing on the cop car), they were very well behaved and cheerful, not causing any disturbance or anything.
I don't like that Alan yells at Shawn and calls him a bad influence. He's never had a problem with Shawn, and Shawny's always been a good kid... Mostly
honestly they make such a big deal about drinking. I'm 14 and only like 4 people in my class never drinked. Even the teacher know we drink to parties, but still do nothing about it. Maybe that's because it's legal to drink in Denmark when you are like 16 years old. It's kind of wierd you have to be like 21 years old in USA.
if i had a dad like cory's dad and he got stern with me about drinking alcohol I would stop cold turkey and would never pick up another liquor bottle, and I never drank once in my life and i'm 22
i will also say, this show is probably the most accurate depiction of drunks, since theyre not slurring or anything, which ive never seen a drunk person do

I like how they get the point of drinking in moderation without the characters getting violently ridiculous drunk. Yes, this does happen if you drink enough to those of you who claim it doesn't. Really for two guys who have never drank before (presumably) I think that for having drank a 300 of cheap whiskey their doing pretty well, although it doesn't really give a timeline so it could have been spaced over the entire night I suppose.
I'm 19, in college, and have never smoked, drank, drugs, or anything of the sort. I have a 3.5 GPA at my university. But I'm heart torn, lifeless, and without any social life. Drinking sounds great right now. What do you all think?

I like how they get the point of drinking in moderation without the characters getting violently ridiculous drunk. Yes, this does happen if you drink enough to those of you who claim it doesn't. Really for two guys who have never drank before (presumably) I think that for having drank a 300 of cheap whiskey their doing pretty well, although it doesn't really give a timeline so it could have been spaced over the entire night I suppose.

I'm 19, in college, and have never smoked, drank, drugs, or anything of the sort. I have a 3.5 GPA at my university. But I'm heart torn, lifeless, and without any social life. Drinking sounds great right now. What do you all think?

@Anagramrice - Tell that to relatives of those killed by drinking and driving. Most kids are AWFUL drivers to begin with, drinking doesn't improve driving abilities, contrary to popular belief. If you had ever watched Full House, you would know that drinking and driving kills people and forces them to grow up without their mom, being raised by a lame comedian and an Elvis impersonator - is THAT what you want? If so, to quote Stephanie Tanner : HOW RUDE!!

@lizziefan84 no one here is saying drink then start driving, Drinking has been used at celebrations for millenniums all over the world, yes i also sometimes watch full house. And your right I know some of my friends that suck and driving and have a license but if people learn how to be responsible with alcohol early on in life it wouldn't be a problem.

Oh god I drank SO much of alcohol as a teenager....not as much now :) but I remember swigging pints of cheap booze at parties.
