Infernal Affairs is a classic. I also like the Departed. See guys? It's not so hard to appreciate both. The Departed in my opinion is the best remake ever.
Infernal Affairs is known for its characterizations that constitute Hong Kong's star actor: Tony Leung, Andy Lau, Anthony Wong Chau(???), Eric Tsang(???), kelly Chen, and Sammi Cheng. Besides, story that orisinal and unique and cinematography that helds captive also as film fruitfulness reason this.
I like Scorsese but the original H.K. film is still better than the American one...It was btw an insult to give an oscar to Marty..."Taxi Driver","Raging Bull","Casino"are much better and got nothing...but "The Departed"got the jackpot...Hollywood/the Oscars suck...
Obviously He's never going to top his best work like Taxi Driver. But he still deserves the Oscar. At least he got it for a movie like The Departed and not the Aviator.
Hahahaha, that made my day. Can't that isn't true because it is true...Too many unnecessary curses. The Departed was not a bad film but it certainly did not top Infernal Affairs. Infernal Affairs is a better film.
True. The Departed is a copy. But its true that there was a Detective working for an Irish Mob family. And the family had an Undercover Cop in the rackets. Martin Scorsese was almost sued by a Gangsters family because the movie was based to closely on him.
This is a classic HK movie, not American. Departed is just a poor copy. If Hollywood is so good, perhaps they should start making ORIGINAL movies instead of copying from everyone else and say theirs is better.
Martin Scorsese first off does not represent the entire hollywood and secondly he never said The Departed is better.
do you know why you got all these thumbs ups?
you got them from people just like urself, dumb little nitwits who are so mad at hollywood that they don't even realise what sort of nonsense they spout out of their little traps till someone snaps a finger and explains it to them.
