Some places in Canada have tons of brick - I remember some neighbourhoods in Ottawa are basically all brick houses, for example. :)

That's true, I know, but the difference between NS and the UK is phenomenal - the only buildings we have that aren't made of bricks are garden sheds, pretty well.
