@oanunkor Whenever you think shes going to do her business, put her in the litter box. Or just keep putting her in it.

@oanunkor put out 4 litter boxes with 4 different types of litter.

avoid clay clumping litter, crystal litter.

use a litter tray liner, change the litter box at least every other day, make sure no other cat is bullying the kitten away from the litter box, place litter box in a quiet place away from human foot traffic, a laundry is a good place, take the kitty to the vet to rule out medical issues, have 2 litter boxes per cat, don't declaw that makes litter avoidence worse.owned by cat for 8 yrs.

@oanunkor the 4 litter choices are there to see if the reason the kitten is avoiding the litter box is due to her/him not liking the way the litter smells and feels.

once you can see which litter kitty likes to use then you can stock up on that type of litter, remember to use disposable gloves when changing out the litter box and use a litter liner for easier clean up. good luck. i have been dealing with a cat for the last 8 years and she has never avoided the litter box.

Its great, but the place has GOTTA smell like shit! Like, literally, cat shit all day. You know like your friend's apartment were she has two cats and its a small place and they never go out and theres one litterbox for the both of them so the place smells like cat poo/future crazy cat-lady smell all day, even when she cleans? Yeah, like that.

These two people are probably retired and just enjoying what they love most in life! It's nice to see a couple share in the same interest. There house is an example of what a person can do to make a pet feel comfortable and reduce boredom. Both of my cats are jealous and will start complaining any minute now!
