That looks really cool, I'm a big fan of the wii whiteboard system. Check out my video of it - /watch?v=PuXbS6N1UTc&list=UUUNjDYRhXxyVz3uMmEAOBPg&index=1&feature=plcp
I suggest you make a pen with 2 aligned lasers. The one will not be seen by wiimote (a green for ex.). The other one will be seen by wiimote. The first one will help you to point the second one. In this way you will be able to control from distance
Idid this with lasers. Red one for aiming, green one for activating. I had to remove the IR filter so that the green laser would be recognized. I would not have to do this if I could get an IR laser! It was harder to aim the farther I got!
The smoothboard software supports a "presenter" mode if you would like to stand back away from the screen. In this mode you just put a stationary IR source near your display screen. This acts like the nintendo sensor bar. Then hold the Wiimote in your hand. The Wii mote then acts just like a laser pointer, the mouse cousor will let you know where you are pointing and you can left click with the trigger and right click with the A button, or map any button functions you would like.

It is paint, all windows machines have it. You can find it under accessories
Yes, the wiimote is left untouched.

I believe he was using cooliris, and yes no wiimotes were harmed in the making of this video.

Don't forget to donate to Boonjin. He spent a huge amount of effort putting the application together. You can use paypal through his homepage.
