Ultrasonic water level cat dish

Lol at stupid people commenting here. I was planning a water level sensor for an irrigation system and while i was deciding between regular level sensors, IR or Ultrasound i found this video with the "proof of concept" that ultrasound works fine for the task.

If you turn the power level up high enough, you can weld the cats head to the water dish and then you won't need to bother with stupid ideas any more.

you should put a servo valve to let in water when the bowl is empty you could also do that for food

actually she can't hear it, thought about that before I rigged it all up and tested it. She is a pretty curious cat and turning it on and off didn't catch her interest at all. Yes she does use it, check out the website and you can see that the water level drops through the day.

no they cant. these are way above animals hearing range. yes they can hear higher pitches than we can, but not this high.
