Both sides of my family have premature balding in the men.That means by 30 they are smooth on top. I would say 25% of the men at the Family BBQ. The other 75% are not. So it really is a throw of the dice. Our ovaries carry genes in our eggs. That is why our kids can have it or pass it on to future generations. The fascinating question is how many male characteristics are in our very DNA at this moment? I am at week 2 of my T therapy and appreciate this type of video.Thanks very much Cole.
@GunsNRosesTrans 50% of your DNA comes through your father since he has only one X to donate to you, the other obviously is from your mother, genes can turn off and on so it's pretty much a crapshoot waiting to see which genes will be activated by T. My advice...have the Rogaine handy if it looks like things are going to go bad, or even as a preventative measure. And you're welcome, thanks so much for watching!
I heard it go's by your Grandfather, on your dads side. If he's bald, then you will be too. Both my Grandfathers had their hair, hopefully i will too. :/
my moms dad and my bio dad are BOTH balding. fucking phenomenal. oh well i guess that's a male fact of life for some gene pools. might as well shave my head now to get over the initial shock of having no hair. i actually had to have part of my head shaved for my brain surgery at Age 10. something i never wanted to relive but at least this change will fulfill me as a person internally.
I wanted to point out something I discovered about Transmen and balding. The reason they say your balding genes come from your mother is because bio men have XY chromosomes and only the X can carry this gene. However Transmen, being born female, have an X chromosome from both dad and mom...so balding could come from either side.
Not really, there aren'tenough studies done on transmen to make a solid judgement. I have seen some guys go bald, when their brothers or fathers didn't. Genetics play a huge rold unfortunately. Just keep an eye on things and if need be get some rogaine, or saw palmetto like transoutlaw mentions in his vids. Thanks for watching!!
