Sounds like you are on Windows XP. Best to run the software on an old PC with DOS.

Wish mine was so quick to program, takes me about 5 mins for it to get the codeplug blocks over. Not great when programming 50 radios

Takes a lot of finding I got the software of the net. Will not work on Windows 7. Best bet is to get a old laptop with dos.

As I know the radios are 7.5V I use 7.5V power. I used in the video a old Toshiba T8000 Pentium II 300MHz Lap Top running DOS 6.22 . But have used Windows XP but was very show. Yes the GP 300 is and still is a very good radio. Thanks Barry M3OYi

what voltage do u power the programming cable.Is it 7.5v as the radio is or 12v.
I have programming cable and software but on the lookout for an old computer.What pc do u use. gp 300 best radio made.Ur video very good
