You said you use both, Flash and Photoshop. Do you draw the backgrounds in PS and animate with symbols etc. In Flash??

@NoreyDragon Thank you! :D What I did was just draw the backgrounds in Photoshop and save them as jpgs. Then I just opened up Flash and animated there (I import the backgrounds just to make sure I'm animating in the right spot, then delete the background). I don't use symbols or anything in Flash, just the pencil tool and fill bucket. xD After a shot's done I'll import the animation and background into After Effects and lay them over one another. Pretty simple. :)
