Just to clarify my points I can see why this was cut out and the movie works fine without it but even with the stereotype character it is still better then the commercial crap that there is at Disney now! At least the black zebra centaurettes look sexy!!
The black zebra centaurettes who follow Bachus around were never censored! Apparently if the black servant is sexy looking it is acceptable for her to be on the screen while poor Sunflower is not sexy! To be honest I would say that Sunflower together with the other characters is much better character animation and content then the new Disney! Watching both this and the Fantasia- the Pastoral Symphony- UNCUT 10;00 it really is not bad. I have watched and enjoyed this segment of the 1940 Fantasia so many times on both vhs and the movie theater screen! I had seen a picture of Sunflower the black centaurette servent girl who looks like Fereena from the Our Gang, Little Rascal comedies! The Disney animaters would be affected by the live portrayals of blacks like in Gone With the Wind! I am both black and japanese by the way.

There is no little male centaur for her to pair up with. If you look at her body, you'll see that she's actually half mule or donkey, unlike the other centaurettes, who are half horse. I'm a Disney fan, but this has always bothered me.

I remember those white centaur girls gathering at that window when I watched this as a kid. The black (African) centaur girl was not there.
They must have wiped her from the shot.
