  • Wise choice on the CVs ... that model was just released a few months ago and is getting positive reviews.

Dig the rock music you played. And your hair ... it looks really kewl with the extensions. Reminds me of singer Stevie Nicks (Fleetwood Mac). In fact, she has your eyes, Karen ... eyes that look caring and full of love for life. Aside from that, I think everybody can tell that you are in a very upbeat mood, and thats a good thing ... *smiles*

    Best Wishes,

    N2

  • Hi, Karen. I may have said this before, but I like your video blogs as much as your singing and dancing videos. It's always interesting to get to know more about people who you really like, and I really like you. I look forward to the Linda Ronstadt cover.

Also, my birthday is on December 22nd. I've said that I always wanted to hear you perform a Disney song, so I was wondering if you could perform "Part Of Your World" from "The Little Mermaid". Thank you for the great videos, and God Bless.

  • There wasn't enough space to mention this in the previous post, so I'm wondering: Is there any chance we might see you bring back your renditions of songs like "Stay Awake" and "Frosty The Snowman"? With the Christmas season now in high gear, I'd like to hear your performance of that song again. God Bless you, and Happy Thanksgiving

  • Loving the extensions Karen:) The speakers sound cool too. That guy does rock!

  • i liked youre old setup better this mike sounds tinny with musc going over it sounds compressed not like youre old mike.

  • Great speakers!

  • DO you like how you you feel with hair long like this ? may be time to grow ? ;-D

  • @crystalgayleaddict Lol, yes I do! Long hair is fun and playful! Now, I might not grow it as long as Crystal Gayle lol! But sure, I definitely would like to have longer hair! Now I just have to stop cutting it when I get tired of it! :)

  • @KarenEng Sounds good! well i don't really recommend to grow as long as Crystal... LOL

In truth my favorite length is butt length or waist length, but she looks really fantastic, like a dream.

Congratulations for choosing the Cerwin Vega, they really look the best deal! And you used the real only right method to choose, using your ears!

    Happy Thanksgiving!

  • @777WINSTON777 Aw, aren't you sweet! Thanks so much! :)

  • Glad you found some speakers that you like. Cerwin-Vega has always made a nice product. I used a lot of them running the sound for my church over the years.......Wow, how did we live before youtube, ha. Have a great Thanksgiving Karen.

  • @terrisonb Lol! Yes, that is true! Youtube has changed the world ha! ha! Happy Thanksgiving to you too Terry! I sure am excited to be singing Christmas songs this year! I usually like to start singing them after Thanksgiving! I am sure lookiing forward to your wonderful singing! Have you ever sang, "Frosty The Snowman"! Your voice would sound so perfect for it! I might sing that one and "Rudolph The Red-nosed Reindeer", and of course a traditional spiritual Christmas song too! :)

  • @KarenEng I haven't recorded very many Christmas songs. In fact only three. They are on my channel from last December. I tend to like the slower Christmas songs but I have considered recording "Rocking Around The Christmas Tree" or "Jingle Bell Rock" but I am not sure I could pull it off. My voice is not as well suited to faster songs. Also my voice does not have much of an edge to it. Still I may try any way, I can always toss it, ha.

  • @terrisonb I am going to steal some quotes that some of my awesome subscribers have told me. "Terry you can sing the phonebook, fast or slow, lol, and make it sound good! Your voice is a God given instrument and one of the best voices I truly have ever heard! :)

  • @KarenEng ....Karen you are most kind. Maybe someday if one of us gets the equipment for the "greenscreen" process we can do a long distance duet. Maybe on something like Nat King Cole's "Unforgetable". I think that would be interesting.

  • @terrisonb I will definitely take you up on that! When I saw the video of Natalie Cole singing with her late father side by side, that was extremely touching. You bet, I would love to sing a duet with you of that song! It would be a hit for sure! :)

  • Last but not least, usually, but not for active speakers (means built in amplifiers as in most computer speakers), watt power for loudspeakers, doesn't mean any sound level you can reach, but power you put it over the loudspeaker risks to get damaged!

  • @crystalgayleaddict Thanks so much for your info on speakers! I am sure it will help others to know these things! I am learning something new about it all the time. Pretty soon, I will become an expert on sound systems lol! :)

  • Watt Power? depending of efficiency, with same power inside you can get one to X sound level ... Manufacturers also know about those false ideas that have been put in customers mind about power, so they cheat on datas, using different power norms. 550W! ? doesn't make sense at all! that's for sure not RMS power! or really poor efficiency.

trust me, with high efficiency level, you can get real music level with only 1 watt! I experienced it, and felt like being in front of the saxophone player!

  • @crystalgayleaddict I'm sure a good amount of the Watt power is toward the sub, what I can tell you is that the system is tailored for a computer is quite nice. I'm not touting Watts, The system is in the Middy range as I explained but nice. I would go in front of one of these systems and listen for yourself. Like I said it is made for a computer. It's fine and worth the price, The price does not come down often. I think mine system is 7 years old. It makes magic in my computer room.

    Gerald

  • @gerald2003r Yes bass loudpseakers usually need some watts to move a lot of air, but here

as you mentionned, desktop computer speakers, 3" only wich honest efficency shouldn't need a lot of them, just consider RMS watts, not musicals watts( double) or PMPO power which is very unreliable norm, something like around x20 RMS (efficient) Watts. So as I introduced, don't pay attention to watts on computer speakers.

  • @gerald2003r Crystal, oddly enough you are half right and because of that you gave me a great idea that I can test with my larger Infinity speakers on my Z5500 system. The system came with nice but somewhat inefficient and a mid driver rather then mid and tweeter. If it works with my Infinity's I will go out and get better speakers that can use the power. I was doing a little reading on these speakers and they take about 20 watts per channel x4. Add the sub, need the watts.

  • OMG did you say 49 !!!! wow you don't look it at all nice blue jammy oh and speaker great too lol hugssss

  • @AlabamaTeddy Lol, you are funny AlabamaTeddy! You turned my giggle box upside down! :)

  • without listening to them, it looks a good choice, Cerwin Vega looks a better choice then Bose, Bose is mainly psycho acoustic, as proof they rarely give details technical datas about their products. I would also have advised ALtec Lansing. But nowadays they most of all are as much trademarks then technical content. Those one looks serious too.

Watt Power? forget it! doesn't not make sense! unless you have big hall to fit! It is first conditioned with efficiency.

  • You might also look at a site called Cyber Snipa, they sell headsets for the gaming industry. They are USB, I have a pair and they are also 5.1 and maybe 7.1 by now. these headsets are amazing. Search for a good price, I paid I think 65 two years ago, there are others like it that cost more that are wireless.

  • Thank you very much my dear friend Karen

I trust in your advice and in your experience. Happy thanksgiving to you and your family. What you do, I always find it very well and I will always. And it's not me, your friend who will be critic you. Thank you for sharing this moment.

    Your friend Sergio

  • @sergio19243 You always express yourself so perfectly! Thank you for always being such a gentlemen Sergio! :)

  • Well here is the deal, they are 15 watts, I took a look at the site. They are budget speakers but what counts the most is that you are happy with the sound. The Z5500 by Logitech are 550 watts, they will light up your room with sound and part of the Amp is the sub woofer... It's more middy but it sound great and has separation choices and more... I consider when I buy something for sound it will last for a while and I will be happy with the result.

  • @gerald2003r Thanks for the info Gerald! And I suppose for what I am using my speakers for, the 15 watts should be good enough. But I do appreciate you sharing that info with me and others who may read this comment! :)

  • Your so pretty you make me melt. I found a digital sound system on one of those discount sites and tried getting it to you but YouTube has these messages set so addresses can't be sent.

  • @TheMonkeyrock77 Yes, I have heard some crazy things happening on Youtube lately! On my profile page, sometimes my profile messages don't show up at all! Youtube is tinkering around with the system again! I always say if it ain't broke, don't fix it! It will end up being their downfall! :)

  • @TheMonkeyrock77 Things in the Internet changed so much while I was down this summer. I found I've got someone in the Internet fallowing me around so I'm changing Internet Carriers at the end of this month. A technician is coming over tomorrow to see if I can get signals from there location. I hope it works. It'll be $17 cheaper and privet.

  • @TheMonkeyrock77 Good luck to you, I hope it works! :)

  • Happy Thanksgiving!

  • @gerald2003r Aw, thank you! You have a wonderful Thanksgiving too! Since you are a computer technician, what do you think about my "Speaker" choice? Did I choose a good company? So far I am very happy with these speakers! :)

  • @KarenEng I have a Sony DA50ES system that is probably 13 years old now and it's 5.1, I can't remember the last time I used it because I play more on the computer but it is amazing with DVDs and Blueray. I'll tell you what, I paid good money for it then but it works today and I'm happy with it. If you think about the cost it cost me 50 buck a year. It's worth spending a couple of bucks now and being happy with the system. Even that system with the digital In I can connect to my computer.

  • @gerald2003r Well lol, that is 650 dollars that was well spent then! I remember my late dad had spent well over a 1000 dollars on the "Bose Surround Sound Speakers", and I would go over my parents house and have a ball watching my favorite movies with the superiour surround sound effects! It gave me such wonderful memories really getting to enjoy a movie with awesome sound! So sometimes cost and quality go together! I know the good memories will last forever! :)
