  • Strong fanny pack....

  • Will the XD fit in a Safariland holster with the laser grip installed?

  • What kind of safariland holster? What model?

  • Safariland Model 6377 ALS Belt Holster.

  • I haven't forgotten you. I am trying to put the parts together to see for you.

  • Do you have to site the laser in or is it ready to go out of the box?

If you site in the laser at 8yds,does that make it inaccurate at 15yds?

Does it run slightly bigger or smaller then the stock medium grip?

  • It is sighted in at about 50 feet out of the box. If you sight it in exactly at 8 yards, it may be a bit off as you move further away. I typically sight it in at about 15 yards, if I can hold the gun steady or get a rest. then as you move closer, it may get a little low and maybe an inch to the left on your point of impact. You typically won't see either your target at night or your laser in the daytime past that distance anyway. These only fit the XD series, not the M yet.

  • Laser Good. Fanny Pack, Fail

  • but whose gonna suspect a guy wearing a fanny pack to shoot you

  • I have one on a SubCompact XD in .40s&w. You hardly notice it is installed, it is very difficult to accidentally activate the laser in a holster. It also has an on/off switch to prevent accidental battery drain when the pistol is being stored.

  • Does this come on easily if you carry in your pocket?

I am wondering about wasted battery or what prevents it.

  • We have not had a problem with this. I would recommend a holster that won't interfere with the activation button, but, generally speaking, this is not a problem.

  • Do they fit on the XDm .40?

  • It does not work with the XDM series.

  • To my knowledge, they do not at the time. As soon as they are available, we will post them online.

  • I have seen nothing from Crimson Trace on producing a M series laser. As of 4-7-09.

  • Do u feel like its important to be able to protect urself with 1 hand and engage with the other? I would feel like whoever u r protecting urself from with ur weak hand, u'd need to engage them first b/c they r a closer threat.

I would also b afraid that while squeezing the laser grip, it might throw off the impact of my round on target, if I were turning it on right before firing. Also, in a situation, I would be afraid of squeezing a round off when trying 2 just turn the laser on.

    Thoughts?

  • Yes I do feel it isimportant to be able to protect yourself with your support hand while you are drawing your weapon. This is a sudden assault emergency drill. Obviously if you recognize the assault far enough in advance you wouls engage with a more stable two handed grip. In response to your concerns about the laser grip, the activation button is located on the front section of the grip. The laser is activated by gripping the weapon.

  • Using the laser in no way hinders or negatively affects operating the weapon. The activation button is outside of the trigger guard. Your trigger finger should remain outside the trigger guard until you are ready to fire the weapon.

  • BTW, your price was cheaper than what I paid online somewhere else, wish I'd found you first.

  • Great demo of that product. I have one and agree it works great in all but bright daytime. Nice way to shoot in close quarters and I like the technique you show.
