I agree- I think it's a good idea too! He's now almost 8 months and is very comfortable with obstacles that move. I made this one- it's an inexpensive piece of pressboard 36"x36" with 4 small pieces of wood (1" x 1" x 4") nailed to the middle of the underside of the board to make a complete square- which holds a tennis ball. I started with a regular sized tennis ball and now use one of those giant tennis balls, but you could really use any type of ball that's strong enough. Hope that helps!
