A lot of people did join zulu and still committed crimes. the other large group was the 5% nation. Gangs were still active, but zulu and the 5% held it down
Great video. I like the vision he has very much: hiphop should spread this message of peace that he is talking about instead of the materialistic, agressive message that is often encountered.
Just keepin it completely real, I could listen to KRS talk every day of the week for the rest of my life. Seriously. Knowledge and positivity just flows from the Teacha like water. Much respect to the Teacha.
well, i was using they as in gangs and tribes. Not race or anything.
Honestly the only thing being black means to me is the social and economical status you are likely to be born in. I.E. People who are black are more often than not at an economical disadvantage to start with given the history of the US. Thats all i really see it as.
Knowledge Reigns Supreme over nearly every1. Return of the Boom Bap was the lick. Edutainment, Criminal Minded, By All Means Necessary, and that cut "Mad Izm" with Channel Live was the joint. Been bumpin KRS since 87. Peace. Oh yeah, the album with "MC's Act Like They Don't Know" was live too. Yall Take it Easy. Cuzz you can't trust a big butt and a smile.

Hmm. Interesting concept. Its kinda odd how similar gangs can be connected to tribe-like warfare.
Know realistically being black doesnt automatically make a person drawn to that sort of thing. but its odd how similar they are.
canipe1 3 years ago
yea it is similar.. but please dont use the word "they" when. talking about races other wise i would be a bunch of "theys" lol
