@jawsTeh It wasn't, but the Source engine treats some animations as if they were objects, especially if it's an NPC like Wheatley, that can be used as an object. So when they animated Wheatley on that wall, the game thought it was an object that would appear and reappear. It didn't actually think that the player would take it at the time, but as there were animations in case he was taken (but no dialogue), Source simply thought "Oh, okay. No problem". He doesn't reappears after the elevator.

How is this a time paradox? A time paradox is when you go back in time and do something that prevents yourself from going back in time i.e killing yourself. This would mean that you went back in time and killed youself but, because you were dead you couldn't go back in time to kill youself which allows the next version of you to go back in time ti kill a third version of you

@nintendork2001 Well in portal 2 in co op, when a button is pressed to creat a portal surface, and a portal is placed there, if it moves (i.e. person steps off of the button) then you lose the portal, so when you picked up the table the portal would probably disappear. and the table would just crash into the wall with the single portal on it.

Weird thing I noticed in the Companion Cube room is that if you grab Wheatley and try to take him with you GLaDOS will think you've trapped yourself when you finish the test and she'll actually fizzle the cube off the button and drop a new one, and give you some interesting dialog that never actually plays when you DO trap yourself in that room.
