Still a very good time! Did you race in S? If so, what was that time? I hear ya on the payments!! I brought over about $5K in negitive equity from my old 740i, into my Camry SE, and I'm paying about $635 a month. How ya likin the SRT-4? When they first came out there was a guy at the local track that was running 14.0's. Now you're a MOPAR Man. It will be hard for you to switch. If you do, GO CHEVY!
according to car and driver the sev6 can hang in a straight line quarter mile with the subaru wrx. c&d tested the two on the track and both came out almost dead even lol. that's how fast the camry is. but of course, the camry won't win in a rally race or autocross vs. the wrx due to weight and suspension issues.
well, since we are referring to an SE v6, it has suspension issues compared to a wrx. remember the se has different suspension, strut braces, than the LE which is better for cornering and handling. still worlds away from the rally inspired wrx. btw, i own a camry and a subaru myself.
huh??? Quarter miles runs for the Camry SE v6 are generally what I mentioned. Some have claimed to put in in the high 13's completely stock. Thats preety badass for a Sedan under 35K. Z's are doing those same numbers stock. There's a website, which I can't remember right now, in which people post their scanned quarter mile run slips for people to see. You'd be amazed at the times camry's have put.
ahaha whaaaat 14.3 for that camry?!?!?! are you kidding 14.9 thats all that car can do man, V8s like lexus GS430 and bmw 540i (6mt) barely do 14.1,.. with 6sec 0-60 it'll never do low 14s,
my '06 3.5 rav4 did a 14.79 @ 93.75 mph at great lakes dragaway in union grove wisconsin.

was that stock FWD or AWD? GREAT TIME BRO!
J30A4V6er 2 years ago
FWD. My RT was .5 which is bad. Before that I got a 15.1 with the air conditioner on because I forgot to turn it off.

.4 tenths is alot of time. The A/C does rob alot of power!

there is no suspension issues....its just not built for that type of racing...a little after market parts can change that ;)

Only Camry "Hybrids" have the CVT. Camry XLE/LE/SE V6 have a 6-speed Auto. CarandDriver clocked an SEV6 at 14.3 @ 99mph, 0-60 in 5.8 seconds.

i think he meant how did it get such a slow time...? or at least that's what i'm asking. how did you only get a 14.9 in that V6 camry?
lifeguard15 4 years ago
oh. i see... yeah, actually from what I've heard the camry usually does 14.3-14.4, with a good start and " shifting"
CRIZZZIN 4 years ago
are you kidding me? 14.3? haha its only around 6 sec.

Looks like the Camry got an early start. Or maybe the Prelude driver was asleep at the wheel?
