Larry Ramos had a very bad heart attack (Oct. 2011) is is not doing well now. He and his brother are in this vid and are fantastic! Prayers are out to this very nice man! The group is still fantastic.
@bze2nlz4 We love you Larry. You made millions of people happy and gave them intense experience of the '60s. We will be forever grateful. Alan (Boston)
thank you all for writing and performing for so many years.... so many wonderful songs/melodies/arrangements/vox, etc. i hope you know how appreciated you are! nlc
Hi, Thanks a million for his quality share. the ASSOCIATION will always rank as my favorite group of ALL TIME. Not only because of their music but also, the members are as personable as they are talented. At 60,their music still makes me feel like I'm 16 & it's 1966. Well, maybe that feeling is only in my mind, I need the music & a loot of painkillers to feel younger now. Anyone see my walker ????????? Let me know when you find any more like this one OK ?? Take care.
@donscaptvideo LOL! I have 'Along Comes Mary' posted from this same show, although that clip was a vhs transfer, this one actually came straight off the dvd I bought later. Thanks for the nice comment! btw, I did see the Association a couple months ago in the Happy Together Tour, but only 3 originals remain. The vids are on my channel, tho not very good, I will have them to look back on and remember when my mind starts to go.....TG for YouTube :)
@The096757 You mean Terry Kirkman, and he's third from the left. He left the group in '72, and only re-joined for reunion shows like this one. 'Never My Love' was written by the Addrisi Brothers (Don and Dick), who had a couple of their own hits in the 70's. Dick Addrisi is still living.
love all of the associations works .... but ..... really never thought of them as a very good live performing band ...... wayyy off key ... instruments just so so ..... not like many other groups i've heard live.
Where did this video come from? Just one song or are there more from this show?
I saw them 2 nights ago at the Rams Head. Beautiful night. I was able to ask Russ what does Terry do with himself these days. He said he enjoys like and paints. Be well all.
@6167Steve This was a PBS tv show that aired in early 2005 called the '60's Rock Experience'. It was hosted by Roger McGuinn and featured other artists. I also posted 'Along Comes Mary' which was the only other song they did on this show.
@bze2nlz4 Thanks. That was very quick. Just did two songs? I guess for PBS they would. Shame Terry does not feel the need to perform but his right to do what he wants to. Russ who lives in LA up around the Hollywood sign area said Terry lives in Pasadena and is content with living his life and creative painting.
Oh....thank you for sharing. This is so classic.....just close your eyes, and the boy's haven't changed....it's still the 70's! I love the Hawian one...he's so cute! Which one was the one jamming with the tamborine? He was rockin' out back in the day...think I will buy one and play it when I play this vid.....:)
@rwells47 Hi Ron. I have the pleasure to see The Association with The Turtles (4th time to see them). Wish Terry Kirkman would be with the group, but Jim Yester is I guess. I am looking forward to seeing them A LOT!!
@rwells47 I sure will. Just got back from 2 weeks out east visiting son and his family in Delaware. Just in time to escape Irene, but not the earthquake. Saw this show coming up before we left, but I wanted to go even though it was at the State Fair. Not seen The Association or The Buckinghams before. Should be a great time I am sure. Hope you are doing well yourself!!

Ted is the most unrecognizable, especially having been the heart-throb of the group. Is his health good?

I like that the Hawaiian gent is wearing a lei and Hawaiian style hat. He must be proud of his home state.
