The Israeli's build some beautiful jets....KFIRS, sold to the US as Adversary Aircraft. VF-43 at NAS Oceana, VA flew these jets...fast, very fast! They had detachable refueling probes. They couldn't turn very well, but sure were great and reliable jets. Modeled after the French Mirage 2000

As my 'nick' indicates I have BT-DT. Navy & Airline Pilot-retired. 32,000+ hours, about 5,600 military. Pulled a LOT of "g's", back in the day - have the Hemorrhoids to prove it . . :-). Never got to link cool songs with it though (that is neat) . . the only sounds were my breathing through the O2 mask.

Seeing the close airwork from afar is the BEST, though. Sitting in a tight cockpit, your 'big picture' is NOT that big. Fly Navy!!

Flew low-levels over the desert out of El Centro to Albequerque, on the desert floor with mesas on both sides and in low mountain areas. Didn't have the musical accompaniment except in my imagination.

Oh, must mention the southern coast of Sicily at 25' , 400 knots. Wine country. Surprised a fisherman on the shore, casting a line out. Sorry, my man.
