我想問題的關鍵是: 通常在吃肉的時候，我們不會對盤子裡的肉，或是紙袋裡的雞排有感­情，因為我們看到的就是肉，我們不習慣去思考這塊"肉"還活著時­的情形，就算我們

偶而想到他活著時的情況，我們可能也只會稍微可憐他們一下，因為­我們沒養過他，沒幫他取名子，也沒看過他對我們撒嬌的可愛模樣。

我們完全認為那些動物和我們家中的狗狗，小貓，是完全兩碼子事

我們只不過是沒想到之間的關聯，但這並不代表這樣繁殖場虐待動物­的方式就是正確的

在討論吃素與否之前，我想先討論另外一個問題: 人類是否真的有必要為了吃肉而讓其他生物陷入地獄般的生活?

我想很多人都很清楚一個事實，那就是我們平常所吃的雞.豬.牛.­魚，都是被以人工繁殖飼養.囚禁.屠宰.然後再成為肉商所販賣的­"商品"(我通常稱他為屍體販賣商)

最後才成為我們的美味的晚餐。

除非我們真的完全不認為我們所吃的肉，原本都是活生生的動物，

否則我們就必須要面對一個問題，那就是在這整個人工飼養的過程中­，我們確確實實

是在製造一個又一個的人間煉獄(生物煉獄?)

平常我們絕對不會把家裡所養的狗貓或兔子當作食物吃掉，因為我們­與家裡的寵物有

直接的接觸，我們會對寵物產生感情，而且我們知道他有血有肉，甚­至有時候我們視寵物為自己的家人。

試想，如果那些原本待在繁殖場的豬牛羊在被我們吃下肚之前也成為­了我們家中的寵物，我們還會忍心吃他嗎?

固然不殺生是不可能。生命就包括了細胞和細菌。就算怎樣做還是完­全不做任何事都不可能到達不想殺生的境界。

作為人類,也是有機生命體就不可能不吃或只吃石頭,除非真的不想­活。即是說跟別人說吃石頭不殺生是脫離現實,根本上不可能,是理­想主義或借口去否定素食理據,無理的駁論。

It really doesn't make you sound any smarter or cooler to name-call. It's kind of the only thing that made me loose any respect for you from the begining. Really, if veggies are going to say that killing an animal is the same as killing a person, giving them the same rights as people; than before I agree to that, I wan't animals to be considered the same as humans in other areas. We shouldn't separate ourselves in 1 way and not another.

it is ridiculous to suggest that we hold animals to the same standards that we hold humans. also, NO ONE is suggesting that we give animals the EXACT same rights as humans as there a lot of rights allotted to human beings that would be entirely inapplicable to animals. so you must be able to see how absurd it is to suggest that an animal killing another animal is the same as a human killing an animal.

@mrnobody89 Predators do that for survival, not for enjoyment, you can feed yoyrself pretty well by what nature provides us without harming those species with higher consciousness, i.e. when they suffer you can tell that they are suffering! Animals in this regard are far more evolved than humans. WE KILL FOR FUN, MONEY , AND PERSONAL ENJOYMENT BUT THEY KILL FOR THEIR OWN VERY SURVIVAL. hmm idk but Plants don't feel pain. You can argue and try to prove it but i believe they don't. As they don't have a brain. .They DO react to stimuli, but that is different. I was once a sperm you know. And also because, plants are clones of each other, it's different with animals. And plants sustain all life. If plants suffer anyway, i'd probs just have to draw the line there anyway cause otherwise i'd starve.

Anyway, yes, i suppose so lol, but i can't see them feeling pain..i think they have senses, i.e respond to music, but i don't think they suffer or feel pain.. I can't get my head around how a plant could feel pain, i guess i'm just stupid.

No, I'm not saying they feel pain. Pain is a mechanism to get you to react to a stimulus. For instance if you get stabbed in the arm by someone you will either run away or try to disarm them. Since plants cannot move away from something that harms them what would be the purpose for them to feel pain? What evolutionary advantage would that give them?

I just think that even if for some reason you did believe plants felt pain veganism would still be the way to go once you do the math.
