Frank looks cooler with his hair than his bald look today but he still kicks ass today. His growls are unbeatable and while there are other death metal bands I enjoy, Suffocation schools them all in every aspect. This song is my favorite from them. Just love that churning interlude riff and Frank's low growls! I conjure up the image of a lurking beast that is about to pounce from behind and bite off my head. You don't need Cryptopsy or Dying Fetus. All you need is Suffocation!

Technique and difficulty-wise, neither vocal style is harder than the other. They're equally as hard and require equal amounts of dedication and practice to master. Realistically, however, Death metal vocals are far harder to learn correctly. It's pretty damn easy to find some trained singer to teach you to sing correctly, but how many flyers have you seen advertising lessons in death metal vocals? Technique can't be the only consideration in deeming one or the other more difficult.

I like this band but I have to disagree with you squirrelly, death metal vocals are easy to do, thats why every angst teenager can do it. As for being good, it just comes with practice and a good role model voice. However, not everyone can pull it off well.

As for singing, its not easy, it takes a lot of skill to be a true "singer" of any sort. Harder then any other instrument in my opinion (and I being a good instrumentalist and a HORRID singer :) )
