@Dynastywarrior00 She was a rescue from a friend of a freind. She is 7 not a geuss, the kid had her from birth and couldnt handle her anymore. Not many people would take in a snake of this size and care for it the way I do. I didnt pay a dime for the snake I gave her a good home which is worth much more. So go bet on that!

i have a Red Tail Hoa also. she is a year nold and a little over 3 ft. but she has had pnumonia a few times and a bacterial infection. we did a lung wash and gave her shots until she is better. she stays healthy for a while but then gets sick eventually again. she lives in a 20 gallon long tank (which we r bumpng up to 50 long soon) with Aspen snake bedding. i mist her tank everyday for humidity. her tank stays about 85-90 degrees. what do u think could be causing her sickness?

@USmarines4life1 I'd say its because your spraying the aspen. Aspen does not take humidity well. It gets moldy etc which could be causing your snakes illness. hope i've helped!

@clairehotty1 Thats not enough feed every 2-3 weeks, and the mouse should be roughly the same thickness as the snakes thickest spot. And also dont forget vitamins. You can get it as a powder you can "sprinkle" over the mouse before feeding

@kingofstl84 120 gallons how big was your snake when it was in there for 2 years because that is very small enclosure for any good size boa and can stress a large snake just for future reference, my cage 8x3x3 feet which is 540 gallons and she does very well in there. Not many people can dedicate a full room to a reptile but if you did great for you.

As a young snake red tail boas will climb but as they grow to adult size they become ground dwelling.
